Hired them to install new vinyl siding in fall of 2019. They did so, but did not properly flash the windows. Thus I have had water seep behind the siding over the last 9 months, rotting out the wood frame structure behind. I am currently removing the siding and there is water everywhere behind it. In the last month I've tried to call and email ModernRenovations several times, not for a refund, but to get advice on how to repair. They have yet to respond. To be fair, they were cheaper than most when I originally got quotes for the project, unfortunately the installation quality turned out to be cheap too. They also did work on my roof, and I am pleased w/ that project.

Wes was professional and in constant communication throughout the whole project. His staff was attentive and clean up after themselves. The installation took longer than expected, but instead of rushing to get it done, they came out the next day to finish it properly. Testament to their workmanship.

Was told they would contact me when it was finished, still waiting on the call and the roof is still uneven.

I had a new roof put on a older home that although not a complicated roof it did offer challenges, such as at some point a chimney had been removed and the patch job (under the shingles) was poorly done. After the new roof was installed the patch showed. When I called the office and spoke with Christie she reassured me that Wes would be out to look at it. Both Wes and Christie came, saw the area that I was referring to and before I knew it the guys were pulling in the driveway and the patch was repaired and the problem was solved. Thank you Christie for being patient and understanding and to Wes for getting the guys out here so quickly. Thanks to all the guys that made this happen!!

timely. having done this kind of work myself, I inspected the roof and found,in my opinion, a flawless job. Could not have asked for more regardless of the cost. Jack Machado

The quality of the roof will become evident over time....but there was ZERO communication about the delivery of the materials or when the work would start despite my telling them - both sales the the office - I needed to know as I work from home and did not want to be here when the work was being done. Then add in the fact that the day before the installation, there was 2 inches of rain so the shingles they installed were soaking wet. (I am not convinced that the packaging kept them dry - since I never saw it.) When the work was done I pointed out that they had not replaced the Chimney crown, which was in the contract and the main reason I selected them. They promised to come back out after two hours to take care of it. The lead showed back up at sunset to take away the trash trailer (which had been there all day and past the time the owner of the parking spot came home - no one ever gave me a chance to move my car or to tell them where they could put the trailer..parking is at a premium here and this caused an issue with my neighbor. I had to get another neighbor to move my car because the trailer was so close I could not get in to move my car to offer the space to the neighbor.) When The lead stopped by I showed him the damage the roofers did to my cinderblock wall and to my bulbs and plants. There was a clear path around them to where the ladder was but they chose to trample my hyacinth. The lead said he would return Saturday morning to plant new bulbs, show me that the attic fan works, and replace the crown. At noon I called the office and left a message. They called right back and said that they could not tell me when they would be there. I told them I was not going to sign off until I everything was in order. They told me that if I was not home when they came back that they would come out again to show me the attic fan. I went about my day. They never arrived. Sunday I decided to stop chasing them. Monday afternoon I was told that they did the chimney cap and that it looked great. The contract stated it would be replaced. They did NOT replace it - the painted it BLACK when my house is Blue and WHITE. I specifically had chosen them because everyone else wanted to paint it and I wanted it replaced. THEN come to find that they in fact did NOT replace the existing attic fan as was contracted because they also put in a ridge vent. (I have always had both). The time for the questions I got a week after the work was done was BEFORE the contract was sent to me. If I had known they were this bad I would have gone elsewhere. I hope they did a better job with the roof itself. They called me Monday to say they were going to correct the issues. As of Tuesday Morning there is no evidence this happened. I have no proof the attic fan is installed, and the chimney crown is still black. Tuesday evening they arrived (again unannounced) and installed the attic fan, planted hyacinth to make up for the trampled ones, and repainted the crown. So it was not 100% of what was contracted - but it was enough. I am glad it is over. I can not test the attic fan - just hope it turns on when it warms up a bit. TLDR: No communications regarding delivery - they did not initially do what was contracted and after roof was in place told me I could not have what we had already agreed to. poor communications, no settings of expectations and rampant misinformation.

Shawn was awesome to work with and was truly a professional and above board on everything. There are so many businesses that try scare tactics and other seedy methods to get your business but Modern Renovations was a truly honest company.

The roof replacement was completed in 2 days. The crew was a hard-working had a great work ethic, covered all the shrubs and took extra time at the end of the day to clean up. My wife and I were very satisfied with the work performed. I would highly recommend Modern Renovations

Who knew having the roof replaced would be such a great experience? We are proud to turn in at our driveway now. MR did a wonderful job, start to finish!

When I initially talked to them they said they could ALSO do a couple of small things like replace a board on my deck. They said they would do it but did not quote a price or do any follow up to this request. Ultimately, they did not fulfill their promise but the roof looks good.

very efficient company from step 1 (the estimate) to completion of the roof shingle replacement. There still remains other items on the entire job that need completed but the biggest portion of the job seems to have been a complete success. The work crew of Latino men was commendable; hard working, on task, organized, and friendly. I hope the remainder of the project goes accordingly.

They come to you and lay out everything for you in black and white. They don’t leave much to question, but if you have any, they have the answers.

Complete replacement of our roof. Prior to starting work, the sales person explained the process completely and went over the various materials available. The job was completed as scheduled, was well done and cleaned up prior to departure. Good people!

I cannot say enough about Matthew and Modern Renovations. So professional, starting with the sales presentation all the way to the last nail was popped in. The team cleaned as they went, and were so respectful as we went about our daily lives (in and out, in and out). Our new roof looks AMAZING!
