Update: Ramon is not a professional drainage expert. Do not hire. The city dug up our yard because the drainage was poorly done and covered a city drain. It is going to cost us thousands to get it fixed. Ramon sounded very professional, but the work did not match the talk. We hired them to level our backyard, improve the drainage, install new grass, and replace stone landscaping with mulch. The initial estimate did not cover basic things such as including landscape fabric under the mulch and other common sense things, so our total cost at the end was much higher than the initial proposal. But worse than that, the work was done poorly. Instead of using a 10 inch pipe and a grate that would be level with the lawn, Ramon waited until the last minute and could only find a 14 inch pipe, so we have this massive open drainage pipe in our yard. Also, it is not at its lowest point, so water just puddles around it instead of going through it. There is a very steep slant at the end of the yes because they had to raise the ground too high to accommodate for the much bigger pipe.  There were many other issues where they tried to do the work fast and easy instead of doing it right, and after 3 weeks, I am seeing the shortcuts they took and the issues as a result of it. I wish I would have spent an extra 10% with a professional company. One of the workers Ramon brought, Raul, was always looking to take the easy way out while the other person, Miguel, was great and tried to do the right thing. But in the end, since Ramon was not around and would not catch their mistakes (or did not care to), we had to keep a close eye and take time away from our work to make sure things did not get terribly done.  I would not hire them again.

I had major water problems in my yard. I hired Moonlake Landscaping to regrade my yard and install new sod. Ramon came out and explained to everything how the water was (not) flowing properly through my yard and what the grade should be. He also recommended a french drain with dry well to deal with a particularly bad area. I figured that the work would be too expensive with the drain added, but Ramon s quote was very reasonable and we decided to move forward. We even added some plantings to the project because we still had room in our budget. We got a lot of rain leading up to the work, which required rescheduling to let them mud thicken up before regrading. Ramon stayed in contact with us the whole time and when a break in the weather appeared, they came out immediately and worked for three days to bang out the project. Ramon does not just coordinate, he does the work too. That made a huge difference in terms of communication during the project. We were able to immediately make minor changes as things went along. I really appreciated that. Everything turned out great. Ramon spent time explaining how to take care of everything and left us with written details. He also made himself available by phone or email if we had any additional questions in the future. I highly recommend these guys. Friendly, hard-working, and fairly priced is all I ask for in a contractor. Moonlake hit it out of the park and I will definitely be using them for future landscaping work.

I called Moonlake Landscaping after seeing the quality of their work on a neighbors property. I had several dead or dying shrubs and the flower beds needed a lot of care. Ramon was very responsive and suggested plants to give a nice look to the front, rear and side mulch beds. The crew completed the work over two days, removing dead plants, planting new ones, pruning all existing shrubs, cutting a new edge to all mulch beds, and distributing new mulch. Ramon also suggested burying an exterior sump discharge to eliminate standing water. All the work looks fabulous! I am a very happy customer and will use Moonlake again.

Hired Moonlake Landscaping to do spring cleanup, plant new shrubs along our fence, spade edge all beds, install new mulch and trim bushes and trees. Great to work with. Ramon is very responsive. Answered all my questions and provided excellent options on new plants that would work best in my yard. His staff did fantastic work. Will definitely hire them again.

Moonlake did a great job raising my settled stone patio. They are the only company that was responsive and did a thorough job. This is second time I have used them and both times they have been great.

AMAZING!!!! I called Ramon at 7:52 in the morning and at 8:54 he sent me a text that he would be here in 30 minutes, I thought just to quote the job and see if he was able to do this in a short time frame (it was an "emergency" weeding of all my gardens because I have a party coming up this weekend and have been in and out of the hospital and unable to keep up with ANY gardening!!!) He had pulled 2 guys from another job and the three of them....Yup, Ramon got right in there and worked alongside them to get the job done by 11:30!!!!!! I had all the landscaping in front of my house removed and started from scratch. This was done in late fall, so I'll have to wait until spring to see the results.But, they did a great job, everything was cleaned up.

I called three contractors and Ramon was tbe first to respond. He came out the next morning, gave me a good price and suggested the best solution for me, all that I needed and nothing extra. I trust them and will reccommend them to anyone. At firsy I thought I needed a.bigger project but he convinced me to go smaller and simpler. It turned out great.

This summer I decide to landscape the entire front of our house, a birthday surprise for my wife. During his visit I gave Ramon an idea of what I wanted done. Ramon's pricing is fair; he is very courteous and conscienous in his work. What was impressive is he can visualize a finished project and gave good suggestions. We are very pleased with the end results.
