    Pros: Small local business, easy transaction, quick job completion time, good quality work other than the single gap mentioned below. Cons: Gap in the fence seemingly due to mismeasurement, about 5 inches across. One plank came loose within a month and I still have it. The workers may have stolen my Craftsman toolset from my garage, but I cannot prove it, or else, the score would be a lot lower.

    If I could give no stars I would but the system doesn't allow zero WE went to Home Advisor powered by Angi to find a contractor (Moonlight Fencing in Wichita Kansas) to do a fence project. Moonlight fencing came and did an estimate and led my husband to believe his time frame was six weeks to start/finish the project. He did not clarify it would be 6 weeks from the date he received the check. But given the contractor was on home advisor we decided to trust them. After about 6 and ½ weeks we needed the fence to be completed since our pool was completed. It took multiple tries to contact Brandon and until I finally told his employee who answered the phone we needed to cancel the job. Then he finally called me back. They still stated he could not complete for at least another 4 weeks, did not give a definite date so I had no choice but to cancel the project. We had an elderly parent on Hospice in another state and could not leave our yard unfenced if we had to leave unexpectedly. Moonlight Fencing required payment to reserve the spot. Mr. Wilson stated we were not entitled to a refund. There was nothing in the bid that stated there was a no-cancellation policy or a no refund etc. Obviously trusting him was a gross error on our part. He said it was to purchase materials because the costs of lumber fluctuate. It has been 2 months since we called Moonlight and he has yet to refund any part of the money. Originally we offered to take the fencing materials he already purchased as part of the refund. He promised to deliver but it is months later and he has stopped communication with us even though we offered to settle for 65% of the amount we paid him. Interestingly enough we received a flyer in the mail with his company a few weeks ago stating instant installation. Any reputable business would have refunded the money, or at least provided the materials he claimed to have already purchased. There was little communication after we paid his invoice even before we canceled. He blames us for taking so long to send him money and claims we wanted it done immediately. We talked to him the first week in June. Received the invoice stating pay at your convenience. I queried if we are on the list on July 3rd - he said definitely and I agreed to send a check. At no time was there anything that stated we were not put on the list until he received payment. There was very little communication after July 5th and no updates as to timelines. We called in mid-August to find out our date for installation. This was copied and pasted; from his email on 8/23/21. **We are eager to do every job and are a reputable business including being the contractor of the year in 2020. You were told we were 10 weeks out and still waited 4 weeks to give us the go-ahead to do the job and then wanted to be done immediately. That is not fair to do to other customers nor would I do that to you. If you have a problem putting money upfront then you should have chosen the contractor you have money to. The city would have understood that the fence contractor was several weeks out as we are all in the same boat. I do not buy a list of materials based on one customer. I take all the jobs we land for the week and pick the materials up based on that so a receipt wouldnt show you anything. The wholesaler does not take returns as most do not. I will return your labor portion of the money. But this boils down to you dragging by your feet on selecting a contractor and then trying to get someone to do it in a fire drill fashion. I will give you the material and the check if you just give me some time. ** Do not do business with this company - and if you choose to ignore this review use a credit card so you can at least collect your money if he does not complete the job timely.

    Brandon and his team did a great job on our fence. Once the project was started, they finished quickly and their work was great. Brandon was more than happy to take on our small project and quoted us more than 1/3 less than other companies. Because of how well we were treated and the amazing work they did, we will hire them to finish out all of our fencing projects.

    Going on 3 weeks and all that I can say my money has paid for is fence post and cement. I hired this company for a small project to add and repair two small sections of fence/gate. I paid 75% for the project in advance with the expectation to break ground in a few days... only to have to hound Brandon down for a date and time for his team to actually start digging post. Also been referred to as nasty via email when I asked for a refund when no work has been done 5 days after paying. I have been patient for any update as to when the project will be completed. As a customer, I should not have to constantly reach out for a service I have paid more than half for. Poor communication and lack of respect for the customer time and money is why I rated this company as I did. A suggestion for this company is to work on time management so you do not tarnish your credibility by failing to meet customer expectations.

    Had to pay a lot upfront. They cashed check but had to keep calling for weeks to get them to show up. They refused to give an address and they NEVER answer phone. When workers finally showed up they were nice and did a good job.

    They did a great job on my deck, but still waiting for the third part where my firepit will be. Am a little upset that it is not in. Brandon did not tell me it would be later. Plus they broke my glass patio table top. Either replace it or take money off when they do my firepit.

    Built a custom gate for us turned out GREAT! Called for more work done at another house. Great people to work with. Worth the money!
