Morris Daniels General Contractor

DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!!! I hired Morris and his crew 4 years ago to build a composite deck for me, and I am now in the process of having that same deck rebuilt by another contractor because it was done incorrectly! The deck is currently sloping and starting to come apart. Come to find out it was not framed properly and it is also not up to code. The first set of problems came to light a week or so after the deck was built when I realized one of the railings was not even attached to the deck posts and no support blocks were added to the rails to keep them from sagging. I reached out to Morris to correct, and he admitted that corners were cut during the project and he would send one of his guys out to address the issues. Someone from his team came back and placed pieces of broken plastic pipe where the support blocks should have gone, but never addressed the detached railing issues. When I reached back out to Morris I got no response. Fast forward four years later, and now all of the other "cut corners" are being revealed and I'm having to pay more to have the deck reframed and repaired. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Best advertisement is word of mouth. You can't be recommended if you don't stand on your word. You can't half do a job, get paid what you asked, not stand by your word and get more recommendations. Having to pay another person to fix what was done incorrectly is ludicrous. Promises unkept is not good either. I have people admiring my project and asking who did the work. I recommended him once. He didn't keep his word to that guy either. That seems like a pattern. Just in my area, he left plenty of money on the table. Oh well...

It is my second review because it was 3 projects supposed to be done. Deck, roofing and framing. This review regarding roofing. In two words he is not roofer. He got paid job not completed. He left site with garbage and do not respond to calls. He stole my extension cord that I allowed him to use. He bought materials for project using my money and use them on other projects. BTW some of his reviews written by his employee. I would not be surprised if all positive reviews written by his friends and family members.

I had Morris and his crew replace and expand my outdoor deck. They built it exactly as I had designed. They were also able to build stairs and sitting area at the top of my yard creating the most inviting space. I wish there was place for pictures because it is something that truly must be seen.

I thought he did great work however i wish his consultation was a little more thorough because it eneded up being $200 dollars more then what he quoted originally.

They completely redid both of my bathrooms and they look amazing. Painted the whole hallway and even my daughterâ s bedroom. The workers are all very polite and respectful. Highly recommend!!

Morris Daniels and crew kept me updated on his arrival time. Did exactly what I wanted and cleaned up beautifully. He even hung my sky chair again which had caused the damage to my porch ceiling in the first place. I was expecting to do that myself. I would definitely use this company again.

Morris arrived at my home on time, totally prepared and finished the job in a timely fashion and cleaned up nicely upon completion. I was very satisfied with his knowledge and professionalism.

The Morris Daniels crew showed up every day and had our deck re-leveled with additional supports so it will stay level, and a custom new metal and wood deck railing installed in 4 days. Our deck is fairly large so we were happy to get the job completed and the deck ready to use again this quickly.

I actually hired Morris to do fencing and stump removal for me. The fencing is good. As for the stump removal it was terrible. He said his crew could do stump removal but I would have to rent the machine. I did so and they supposedly did the job. A month or so later, I found out that the huge stump that needed ground out was not, it was just covered up with around 5 lawn bags of saw dust that I had to remove myself. I called Morris to see why this was done and he said he would make good on it but did not. After months of waiting I had to pay someone else to remove it. Then Morris said he would make up for it by putting a second coat of water shield on my fencing. I agreed but that did not happened.

Maybe I shouldn't rate them so high because they'll get too busy! They fixed a botched job done on my deck, straightened it out, did a wonderful job. They showed up when they said they would and did not mess around. I plan on having them back soon.

Fast reliable

This was my first experience with a contractor. I had never spent this much money on my house and I was very nervous. I asked for a deck to be built, I needed some soffit repaired in my siding, and I wanted my front porch screened in. He was the only one who showed up to give me an estimate. The price was just within my budget so I went for it. I'm very pleased! They met all my expectations. I got a bigger deck than I anticipated and they didn't mind my last minute change! They did a great job, they really did. I only wish they had given me a nicer door for my new screened in front porch. It's very plain and already starting to come apart at the bottom. I had to super glue it together. I'll end up replacing it with a nicer one for sure. But aside from that I truly believe they gave me good quality for my buck overall. I love my deck! The front porch looks great! And my siding looks so much better! I know I am the envy of my cul-de-sac! If anyone ever asks I would definitely recommend them! When I have more home projects they'll be the first ones I call! Mr. Daniels said when I met him he becomes your contractor for life, and he is my contractor for life. Thank you to the whole crew! You guys are awesome!

Morris and his brother-in-law Sandy were excellent. They worked with me to replace a one hundred year old porch, which was not level and had rotting timbers. In addition the railings were hand done and he and his team were able to reproduce. Their painter was excellent. other issues were taken care of just as agreed. Even with timber prices ski rocketing, Morris was able to stay very close to his very reasonable quote. I would highly recommend this group of individuals to do any job you may have!!

Morris Daniels and his crew were very polite and showed up to start the porch project the day they said they would. There were several problems with the completed project, which they did come back out to try and correct a few months later. The project seemed rushed and sloppy and after it was all over, I feel that they were not up to the job.

Great guys to work with. They not only meet my expectations but they exceeded my expectations! They redesigned and replaced my old stairway leading from the house to my pier.Look forward to working with them again in the future.

morris Daniels and his team really know their stuff!! They were always on time and were very efficient. He was very honest and his whole team was very respectable. The final product was above and beyond what I expected. My wife was beyond thrilled about our new addition and thatâ s not an easy task. I owe him a beer just for that. I would definitely hire him and his crew again and I will be recommending him and his crew to other people who need a GC.

Mr. Daniels stayed true to his estimated pricing, even decreasing it when materials were cheaper than originally expected.
