I recently had foundation work completed by Mount Valley Foundation at my property, and I could not be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, the team, Jarrod, Mason, and Kincade demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail. They thoroughly inspected the issue, clearly explained the underlying problems, and offered a practical plan that fit both my needs and budget. The three man crew arrived on time each day, worked efficiently, and kept the work area clean and safe. They communicated progress throughout the project, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. Once the work was complete, they walked me through everything they had done and made sure all my questions were answered. The quality of the repair is outstanding—my home feels more stable, the cracks have been addressed, and I have peace of mind knowing the foundation is solid for the long term. It’s rare to find a company like Mount Valley Foundation that combines skill,

Darrell and his crew members, Derrick, and Dorrian, did a good job. They were courteous, on time, keep me informed, and keep the job site clean. Their supervision, DA, also did a wonderful job.

These guys were professional. Explained what they were going to do and. They kept us i formed through the project. I believe it was Joe that let me stand next to him when the other guys were making final adjustments to lift my laundry room so that I could see my laundry door close for the first time.

I'm very dissatisfied with this company as a whole. After giving my deposit, I was told they would be to my home on a set date and time. They didn't show up on set date and didn't call or text as to why no one showed up. After calling several times, the next day someone calls apologizing profusely but gave no reason as to why the workers didn't show up. When you finally get them to come, they start the project and then the cat and mouse games begin! They'll call and say they have to finish another project and would be there a little later and then call back because that other project ran longer than expected. It's now 4 months into what I was told would be no more than a week! Calling the company itself about what's going on or complain is absolutely impossible, if someone does answer the phone, they give you the run around. Parts of my electrical was messed up by their worker, I was told that they would take care of it right away. Lies, lies and more lies with this company!

I have had the worst experience ever with this company. Extremely poor customer service. The sales representative Michael Cox, attempted to talk down, insult my mother and I, was extremely rude, and tried to bill us for services that have not been rendered. He scheduled services to be completed without running any dates by us. He is a disgusting want to be con man. As a company they should not want anyone like him working for them. I would never trust this company, nor would I recommend this company with their illegal practices. I'm hoping this company doesn't make us take them to small claims court.

I have been a very dissatisfied customer since July of 2022. From the very beginning, the follow up, customer service and quality of work has been beyond sub par. I have had an extremely hard time getting your company to follow through with work it is contracted to do. When yet another employee failed to do an inspection of my crawl space. I called. The receptionist refused to give me contact information for the general manager so that I could send him a detailed email outlining all of my concerns. She said a manager would call back today but that did not happen either.

I don?t normally leave reviews, but I feel like other families deserve to know what we went through with Mount Valley Foundation Services (Charleston office). We hired them to repair subflooring in our home. The result was honestly shocking. The new subfloor was so uneven that flooring couldn?t even be installed?something both the city inspector and a licensed contractor confirmed. A section of rotted subfloor was left in place, and instead of replacing it, they added a board underneath, hidden from view. My husband ended up falling through this section and getting injured. On top of this, the power to our house was cut during the job and no one informed us. I was 8+ months pregnant and we were left without access to our home for days. The whole situation forced our family (including our toddler and dog) to live out of temporary housing while we figured out repairs. The new contractor that we hired did a beautiful job and charged us far less than Mount Valley.

I hired Mount Valley (Charleston) for subfloor repair, but the work failed inspection, left rotted wood in place, and caused structural collapse. My family was displaced, I fell through the floor, and I had to hire another contractor to redo everything. Communication was poor, and their refund offer didn?t come close to covering damages. I do not recommend this company.

Will Soulier (Foreman), Jimmy Bracey IV, and Myshaun Joyner delivered outstanding service installing eight foundation piers—six on my property and two at my neighbor’s. Despite equipment issues and constant breaker trips, the crew stayed focused and efficient. Will showed strong leadership, quickly resolving technical setbacks. Jimmy and Myshaun worked with care and initiative, needing no direction to stay on task. All three were professional, respectful around my children, and knowledgeable when answering my questions. They followed safety protocols and were careful to protect my lawn and landscaping. Completing the job in a single day, ahead of approaching rain, was a testament to their coordination and work ethic. This team exemplifies top-tier craftsmanship, professionalism, and pride in their work.

Please see the earlier review (3/12) for context. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Mt. Valley Foundation Services regarding our sump pump installation. Overall, the team did an excellent job with both the initial installation and the subsequent repair of the discharge lines, which had come apart over time. They were professional, transparent, and truly seemed to care about the project. The only challenge I encountered was not with Mt. Valley Foundation Services itself, but rather with its parent company, Ground Works. From my experience, Ground Works has acquired many smaller foundation companies across the U.S., and it seems they may be struggling with logistical coordination. The call center they use is not very user-friendly, and I experienced multiple miscommunications and scheduling errors. Unfortunately, this puts Mt. Valley Foundation Services at the mercy of Ground Works' logistical issues. That said, I highly recommend working with Mt. Valley Foundation Services. My advice is to obtain the names and direct contact information of the service team when booking—this makes future communication significantly easier. Once I was able to reach the team directly, they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Living in a flood-prone area, I feel confident that the sump pump project they completed will be a tremendous benefit to our home and property. A big thanks to Danny (the manager) and his team for their outstanding work!

TLDR: The sump pump they installed has never worked. Impossible to get someone on the phone. Stay away at all costs! We initially had a great experience with Mt. Valley—good communication, fair pricing, and what seemed like a solid sump pump installation. Since installation, the sump pump has never functioned properly. The discharge lines have completely come apart, meaning water is now being pumped under our deck and foundation—exactly what we were trying to prevent in an area that floods routinely. This should be a straightforward fix, but after a month of trying to schedule service, no one from Mt. Valley has even shown up to assess the issue. We’ve had three separate appointments where no one arrived or even bothered to call. The sump pump is still nonfunctional, and at this point, we regret ever choosing this company. I will gladly update this review if they resolve the issue, but until then, if you need a sump pump, save yourself $7,000 and buy one at Lowe’s

The work was superb beginning with an introduction to the Company by Donrell Lester. He was both professional and knowledgeable. Answered every question and explained fully what was the scope of work and related costs. The installation crew led by David Foreman and including David H, Thomas J and Derrell R were skilled, proficient, polite and patient with every question

Simply put, Amazing! Don Lester was my first estimate I'm the type that gets multiple (4 in total). Don and his Company were the only ones that listened to what I needed and didn't try to upsale me. I appreciate the fast professionalism for a job well done. The entire team was friendly and my project was done to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Anderson Pusey, of Mount Valley Foundation has been our knight in shining armor. Never have I had the pleasure of working with someone that exemplifies such professionalism and such dedication to his customer. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement. Working with Anderson was an education in all things crawl space related. This man clearly knows his business and his passion for his work is obvious and infectious. Once we agreed to the work, Anderson did not "disappear" as tends to happen. He has followed up through every step of the crawl space encapsulation process and has ensured that we are aware of every step. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Anderson especially, but also with the crew that did the work including Jerrod Mazyck, Noah Jenkins, and Alex Myers. They were incredibly polite, respectful and very thorough in their work. Mount Valley Foundation has my business for life and I recommend them to everyone!!!

Please, avoid this company. Since meeting with the sales rep on 01 Aug 2024, I've been stuck in a nightmare. To complete the job I paid 9k for 5 different visits from managers and installation crews were needed. Also, please be aware that this branch of the company did not when the torch award from the Better Business Bureau. The upstate branch did. They never mention the 600 Better Business Bureau complaints filed against them. I had to file a complaint against them because the field inspection manager wouldn't return my phone call (this was the 2nd time. The 1st time I had to make 5 calls to get him to inspection the work). I don't have enough character allowance to describe the 6 week experience so here are some highlights: The sales rep didn't know basic pricing information * The sales rep asked if I trusted him to lead 'this expedition' but after I signed the documents he was no longer part of the project * The sales rep didn't record any measurements or findings on the initial inspection. He also didn't check other areas of the house so I don't know how far reaching the problem is * The first install team put a support beam in the wrong location. * I didn't have control over lift amount. They do. My house still has a slope. * The permit specialist fear mongered and told me that if I didn't get a full encapsulation my situation would only get worse * The permit specialistim gave me incorrect information about the inspection process * The second install team also messed up the installing the beam. One beam was clearly crooked. * As a 'favor' because they constantly messed up they said they would run the vapor barrier up the wall. They didn't. They barely ran it half of the wall. No one told me that drilling would be involved so for four hours I heard loud drilling. As such I developed a migraine that caused me to logg off of work. * they did not 'settle the environment'. Meaning they did not fill in the holes. * they did not originally run the vapor barrier wall to wall. There were six inches gaps * they communicate by shouting and banging on the floor * while working under the house they failed to remember I could hear most of what they said. Like their discussion on honey mustard and the one time were quoting reels 'do I have the floor. Yes, you do'. * there is no organization. The general manager told me they would start at 10 am and that I wouldn't need any support beams. They started at 8:15 and installed 2 additional support beams *they entered my premises and went under my house without telling me they were there *I still don't have measurements regarding the work that was done. *without me knowing the GM listened on a conversation I thought I was having with only one person

We shopped around and settled on MVFS because we thought they offered best product. MVFS encapsulated our crawl space plus put in 2 sump pumps/drains. We had it done right before "Debby" and there were some issues due to the amount of rain we got. We called MVFS and they immediately came out and rectified the situation. We worked with Mark (sales), Joe, Dez, Zach and Darryl (encapsulation guys) and all were professional, kind, they explained things well and worked till we were satisfied, even work late nights on occasion. We would definitely recommend them.

The team of Will S,, Brady M., Louis F., and Darrell D., provided SUPERIOR service. They were prompt in arriving, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout our installation of spherical piers to stabilize our sinking foundation. Cleanup was excellent and pace of work was amazing. My ENTIRE experience from my first phone call to the completion of the job was without flaw or drama. I will definitely use them again, if necessary, and I will DEFINITELY recommend Mount Valley to anyone who needs any of their services. Special Kudos to Willâ s team!!
