"INDOOR BASKETBALL HOOP INSTALLED. Thanks, Stuart!"
"Im sorry she felt this way in the end. There's always two sides to a story. To make this brief, this customer was given to me from another contractor because they didnt have time to help them. Later I found out, the wife was one of the red flag customers I wish I never worked for. In the end, the husband did a walk through and sent me an email stating how great the place looked. He asked me to send over the bill- which he paid. His wife (the wicked witch of the west) really just wanted to save her some money on the renters deposit. Did our price change - no Did we complete the work and get an email from the owner saying: "it looked great please send me the bill so I can pay". Yes Did we fix mistakes that were made -yes Did Ryan send a check refund that wasnt received - yes (when she didnt receive the returned check, Ryan took it as a sign from God and the universe that this lady is trying to ROB your family of there food - did Ryan send another check to this lady - no Did the owner move their renters in time to the house - yes Was this the husband easy to work with - yes Is the wife who wrote this message impossible to please - yes - Ryan knew she was red flag from day one. We have a website for those who would like to see our remodel projects that we get 5 star reviews on. Our objective is to please our clients the best we can. Some people cant be pleased or reasoned with. Either way - clients and work keep coming. I wish the best to these clients - but will never work for them again."
"The guy was told there was an hour of work.... it took him 3 hrs and charged them for 3 hours. The work was done perfectly with happy customers. If you can't afford a handyman, fix it yourself. Each of these employees have families they provide for. Customers think they can have a professional in there home working hard for 3 hrs and pay for 1 hour, it's an idiosyncratic. We bill for what is fair to the customer and the services rendered."
"Wow. Thanks Charles. I left your house shaking your hand telling you verbally and over a text what the bill was $90. If we committed fraud, then why didn't you call the cops or press charges? Oh, maybe because that's what you were told you were being charged. The work done; putting on a doorknob and applying cement glue to a crack was passed by the inspector when Charles was buying the house. The inspector is licensed by the State. So I guess we passed the state inspection with our work. The real problem is the handyman who went to Charles house was dealing like Charles was trying to make a move on him. The employee tried to finish up as soon as possible with no problems. During this time, Mr. Charles continually kept flirting with the employee to the point the employee did not feel comfortable going back. I- the owner went over on time on Saturday (after the inspection had passed) to fix whatever Charles was upset about. It came to be that he couldn't get his TV wall mount off. So I helped him with no charge. I can see where my employees concern came from. There are always two sides to a story. I'm happy to fave the music for the companies mistakes. There were none here. Just an unhappy man who got shut down when he was asking for a date. There are always people you can't please. He was one of the impossible ones. There was no illegal activity or we wouldn't be in business. We are insured up to 2 million dollars. I don't think I would risk the company and prison time over $90. Mr. Charles was not being responded to due to his ill words and manners on the job site and over the phone. I truly hope in the next 25 years we never work for another Charles like that again."
"We fixed all the framing issues. The carpenter measured wrong. I have the new photos of what was finished. She was so busy making our with her boyfriend they ran out of money. I?m soooooooo happy we didn?t finish that job for her. Total witch lady with broom."
"Margie had expected a bid and that was for $700 to install new dry wall and plaster in her garage. After completing this project she said she did not want to pay the $700. Ryan agreed to adjust the furniture price only, nothing else on the bid. Ryan bought his own ladder and he was going to use the back of his truck to cut the pieces of dry wall. Margie offered to use her ladder and her saw horses to Ryan-no problem. Ryan also called Margie on his timeline to let her know he was going to be late due to circumstances outside of his control. The playhouse roof was fixed. Margie added on plastering that was never agreed upon on the play house gables. She expected us to work for free for extra projects. The last day of work Margie was left a message that had to push her timing back due to other jobs. There was only the plastering left which she added the second day without notice to Ryan. Her project was put on low priority due to her changing the agreement on the bid during the job and adding more work to the job than what was agreed. Finally, Margie told Ryan she would get the trim for the tile and she was using another person to do the trim and tile work. Margie was inconsistent with the work she wanted done and in the end she could not afford a bid she agreed to in writing by email. She changed work scope every time the workers showed up. She could not make up her mind on how she wanted the gable fixed, which she refused to use a flashing which is the common method to fix a gable. Ryan and Jayden completed the drywall, fixed the playhouse roof and moved furniture (for free). Margie was one of the harder customers we have worked for, due to her changing the work scope by adding more work to the project than what was agreed. Mountaintop Handyman will not be doing work for Margie again due to her changing the work agreed and the price agreed upon daily."
