Three movers to move one grandfather clock was not required as one stood by while the other two prepped the clock. Two movers easily moved it down the stairs to their truck while the third watched. At $199 an hour for a crew of three Move Central required this resulted in paying $350 for a person to stand around and do nothing.

They did a VERY good job, and I felt comfortable with the crew they sent out. They were, however, almost $600 over their initial estimate. Not the end of the world, and I was prepared for $200 to $300 over. A little taken aback by the overage, but totally satisfied with the job they did.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM. I hired these movers because I found them on Angi, who I trust as a source and consider them a reputable aggregator of companies, and not only had the worst experience with movers I've ever had, but realized they are essentially scam artists, and many other reviews match my exact experience. They quote you a reasonable hourly rate over the phone, and the estimate they provide lists only an hourly rate and a flat truck fee. They got to my house and the movers loaded my three furniture items into the truck and drove them to the next location. At the destination however, they refused to unload anything until we paid, and then their dispatch manager over the phone told us the total would be $1500, which is almost three times what they estimated to us in advance of the move. This was for an "oversized item", which they neglected to ever mention beforehand. The manager said the clock was ticking, and we better pay now, or he'd just have to add more time to the bill. We flat out refused to pay this amount, never signed anything, were never presented with a bill of lading, and they charged the full amount to our credit card anyway. They left our furniture jumbled together one foot inside the front door, still wrapped and blanketed. On top of this, after unwrapping everything ourselves, we realized they had broken a piece of our table in transit. Do NOT use these movers, they are a scam.

The guys who did the moving were very good. The pricing was ridiculous and opaque to the end. I would not employ them again.

After having just moved, it was a pleasure to work with the company. In terms of shifting dates and places, they were reasonable and fast in collecting the stuff. They also have excellent shipping and delivery staff. Working with MCM was enjoyable, and my calls and emails were promptly replied. I would recommend them to everyone.

They did not honor the estimate and overcharged. They damaged an expensive sofa and have yet to discuss damages with them. Company has not responded my calls and emails.

I was lead to believe that the price quoted included requested packing materials for specific items like a large framed mirror and plastic wrap for things like dressers. Those were ?add ons ?. Labor time quote of 3hours was not disclosed as starting from their departure point, not arrival at my home, so we went into pricey overtime. Crew was nice but clearly inexperienced as some items were scratched and/or torn.

Just OK. Loading furniture from 1 bedroom apartment took 3 hours and felt slow. TVs were wrapped well; nothing broke during the move. The truck was unnecessarily large for the job and had complicated parking/loading/unloading. All these delays add up and WILL cost you extra, so keep the budget in mind. After the job was completed, kept sending nonsense appointment reminders. I called them about it and was told to disregard these messages as a bug in their system.

Beware of the insurance they have you waive without explanation. Day of move I had several documents I had to sign on a small smart phone and terms were not explained. My promotion was damaged in the love and I was offered 300$ max for replacement per the fine print. The promotion is costing me 1100$ to fix. Buyer beware

They were very quick to take the deposit but hard to reach by phone. Then they just canceled my move. Felt it was too far.

Do yourself a favor do not hire these companies. The guys came and were on time and actually did a great job. I had a move that involved picking up couple boxes from uhaul storage then pick up few pieces of furniture and move to an apartment 15 minutes drive. I was told I will be paying by an hour. The job took 3.5 hours I agreed to pay for four hours. However, when they change be for packing items $250, something I could have buy at any uhaul for 30 I felt this was plain cheating. They said if I pay cash it would be cheaper per hour when I wanted to pick movers cash the movers told me they are not allowed to collect money. I was called by dispatcher who was not even present and he said he is the only one who can collect. He would not negotiate and threaten me that I am not binding to contact. I will be calling attorney, this is unacceptable

Hard working friendly crew, showed up on time ready to work.

I was not fully informed of the cost of the move from the representative I spoke to when I hired the movers. The cost was almost double what it should have been. When their customer service representative phoned to get me to raise my rating of their company she stated her findings were that the company did everything right and I should have a nice day and hung up on me. I will never use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

The team was professional and worked hard the entire time. It was a rainy day, and they ensured to protect items best they could from the elements.

Please read- this company hires dishonest people. I do not normally leave reviews, but I feel you need to know about this company before you decide to hire them. My fiance and I moved on Friday, 10/9/20 and our movers stole almost $300 in cash from us. They took cash from separate locations and different places. My fiance and I have been dealing with multiple people to take care of this, but they are doing nothing. They have been passing us from person to person with no resolution in sight. Stay away from this company. They obviously do not do background checks and you do not want to allow these people anywhere near your personal items. Stay away from this moving company.

The worse experience I have ever had with a moving company. I have used different moving companies in the past and I have never experienced what I experience with this company. They are unprofessional, overpriced for a terrible job and unreliable.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. These people are really mind- blowing. I wish every business were run like this one. They are perfect. Really. No exaggeration. I was a true problem client. I had moving companies decline my business, my case was so complicated. Not for these folks. No problem. And I have problems every step of the way and over a period of six months, they were still like â no problem â . They made a very challenging period in my life so very much easier. One of the many many things they did so well was to pack up my house when I was out of state. Done perfectly. I was a nervous wreck about our collection of heirloom Belleek eggshell China. It arrived with not one chip. I could go for pages about every aspect of there wonderful service and all the different ways they met my weird and changing needs over six months but my thumb is getting tired. Hire this people. You will be very very glad you did.

I would give Move Central six stars if I could. From the very first phone call to schedule the move to the crew finishing the move, I could not have been happier with the experience. When I called, someone answered the phone right away and was on point and courteous and scratched my move. They called to confirm a few days before, and the crew was prompt. They were absolutely amazing with their speed and how careful they were with all of our belongings. We were moving from a two- bedroom apartment with a rickety fire escape as the only way in the house, and they didnâ t complain once. Everything was in our new house easily, and they were done in 3.5 hours exactly. The crew was friendly, easy-going, and extremely hard working. This company made our move so much more manageable so we could focus on setting in. They were fast and nice, strongly recommend!!

We used Move Central for our recent move and they were exceptional! Antonio, John and David were very professional and made sure they moved everything just the way we wanted. They cared for items as if they belonged to them and they delivered and reassembled our furnishings in the new location to our satisfaction. I could not have asked for a better experience or team to work with on this move. They really eased all the stress and frustration I was feeling about getting this done. Absolutely love this company. They are super efficient, on time, quick response time once you do put in a request with them. Both my friend and I used them for our moves and we have three story townhomes with a lot of furniture and boxes. They made sure to cover up the wood flooring so that it wouldnâ t get damaged. They were communicative during the entire process from start to finish. They were prompt, careful, worked swiftly and were courteous throughout the entire process. If youâ re considering a mover, look no further, these guys are the real deal!
