Good communication, but a rough experience overall We recently used Move and Care for a cross-country move from California to Chicago. While our representative was responsive and ultimately apologetic about the issues we experienced, the move itself had enough problems that we feel other customers should know what they might be signing up for. Our delivery window changed multiple times without much notice, requiring our belongings to be transferred to a holding truck ? an extra handling step that increases the risk of damage and that we hadn't anticipated. When unloading day finally came, at least two of the three crew members were openly rude and complained throughout the job. My wife was directing placement of boxes and was treated with visible impatience and disrespect ? not something we expected from a professional moving crew. I called this company and told them i had 20 boxes and 6 pieces of furniture. They gave me a quote of $600. I agreed. I told them i was on a second floor moving down the road to a third floor. I told them that the furniture was heavy. They said no problem. On the day of the move 2 tiny boys showed up and told me they wouldnt move me unless i paid $900. I had already switched my services so i had no choice. I agreed but told them that i didnt think it was right to extort me like that and they said ok and drove down my landlords newly sealed driveway (the landlord made a big deal to tell them to not cut the wheel a lot as to not mess up the driveway) and cut the wheel back and forth a dozen times destroying the sealing. When we called there boss he laughed and said not my problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THIS IS A SCAM. THEY ARE NOT CAPABLE OF MOVING YOU. I called around a lot and found a great moving company called first rate movers.

I hired Move and Care to move my storage unit. They showed up on time and the two young men worked really hard to move a ton of stuff all by themselves without complaining. This guys are honest. They really put a lot of thought into organizing my stuff so that it would fit into one truck. The were also careful with the packing taking really good care of fragile things. At the new unit they did an incredible job at packing the things in again to maximize space. These guys didn't even stop for a lunch break. All that said you know why I give them five stars and say that I highly recommend them. Once I move again they will be the ones I call.

An absolute perfect 10 of a moving company!! I cannot recommend them enough! Our original movers, scheduled with Bellhop, canceled on us 3 ours before our scheduled move. Everything was packed, meters were paid for, and Iâ m due any day. We HAD to move today. We called and they had 3 guys and a truck out to our apt within hours. They were incredibly professional and took AMAZING care of our belongings. Just the nicest team of guys and extremely reasonable pricing. Definitely will use them again and recommend to anyone!

In the beginning Paul was trying to be deceptive/misleading about the quote that he gave me. He was not factoring in the labor. He would talk in circles when I tried to get clarification about the price. It was literally so annoying. But I decided to use them anyways because they had a 5 star rating. Well the entire time they were trying to do a rush job. I heard clanks outside of my door at one point.. They had dropped some boxes. The older guy lied and said nothing had been dropped/broken while the younger boy admitted that they had. I ran out and saw it with my own eyes anyways. When I started to unpack later that evening I noticed several broken picture frames. There was also a very expensive crackled glass vase that I had for years that was smashed into pieces. But neverminded that, I had to replace my 70 inch tv that I just bought in March. I plugged it in that same night and nothing came in but striped lines and there was a crack across the entire bottom. I was also missing a shelf that might have been overlooked. I mean it was a plank (a piece of plywood) that I has been using as a shelf that I for many years to put my knickknacks on. I would mount it on these brackets. That never arrived at my new house. I will have to replace that also. I mean wood is not cheap neither is a $600 TV. So all in all it cost me $1439.00 plus roughly an additional $1000 to replace broken items. This was my first time using them and will be my last.

They lied to me about paying less money for moving on Friday! Told me it would be 20$ cheaper an hr. Also, I told them was not exactly what I would have to move and gave them an idea and was told do not worry you pay by the hours. Well, they charged me for almost 2 extra hours longer than what they actually stayed for. They charged me an extra 60$ because my mattress was difficult but less than the 200lb requirement to add the 60$. My estimated amount was doubled because of all the extras they added on. The guys were very nice but they were not told about the chance of staying later which is not my fault when I specially said I was not sure about the number of boxes and objects because I was not finished packing and when I said I would call back when I had a better idea they pulled me in saying again that it did not matter it was based on an hourly rate. It is very misleading and not okay to be charged for more time than what they were actually there for! I am not happy that I had to go way over my budget based on what it really should have been!

I hired this company to do a moving job for me and I was so pleased with the customer service and attention to detail that they provided me with. They were very nice, polite and kind even though I m usually not the easiest customer... I was so happy (and quite honestly relieved) to see that all my furniture was very carefully handled and wrapped (if needed) and packed (as requested) and promptly moved out of my house. They were very nice gentlemen and I will call them again in the future because they helped me a lot and tried their best to accommodate my needs.

Great company! What a contrast with other companies we had hired in a past. Fast and reasonably priced. We were a little scared to deal with a moving company but the guys that helped us went above and beyond of what we expected. The crew was clean, polite, professional and tireless. We offered them to take time off for lunch but they just took a few bites and kept plugging away. Customer service is very good too. We were able to add a stop and to move our moving date around without any cancellation fees. It s very convenient and honest. Pricing was cheaper than most other companies we shopped around for. What really impressed us was the way we were able to track the crew, just like you would an Uber car on approach and we didn t have to guess where they were and when they would arrive. We were able to meet them the minute they arrived. Me and my wife highly recommend Move and Care and in fact that is how we found them. Good job guys! We ll call again when we move again.
