Mr. Handyman of Park Cities (Dallas)

I called Mr. Handyman after receiving an email to have them assemble a basketball hoop. During the appointment scheduling process, I was told that they *do these all the time*, and they *finish within an hour*. The technician was punctual and conscientious, but the project took 4 hours, and I was charged more than double the expectation that was set. I checked in with the technician after the first hour, and he indicated he would be done in two hours. At over three hours, he called me out to see a clearly incorrectly assembled hoop. The assembly cost more than the actual hoop and the follow-up customer service with the office was horrible.

One-star given for showing up in the company truck and having tools. Hired Mr. Handyman of Park Cities to assemble and install flat-packed wardrobe cabinets in a master closet. Design views of the finished installation and a floor plan were provided. All of this was communicated up front. The quote for a days work for handymen was $1800. When they were done for the day I saw they had damaged the components of one of the cabinets to the point that the entire cabinet would need to be replaced. They did not use the specified amount of the provided hardware (nails, etc.) on any of the cabinets, so the appearance was *extremely shoddy and the product was unstable. I have to replace the damaged items, take everything down, and will definitely build and install it by myself this time. I have done it before, so I know what **good** looks like. I attempted to save myself some valuable time by paying Mr. Handyman, but that was an expensive mistake.

The provider was right on time. He was nice to my dogs. I showed him what I needed done and he went right to it. He went to home depot to get a part, then finished his work. He was pleasant the whole time he was here.

Did not appreciate 2:35 a.m. robo call to check on my satisfaction.

Timely and efficient.

The technician examined the sliding glass door, determined that it was broken and irreparable. He then allowed me to decide the direction to go next. After I decided, he sealed the door in place pending it being replaced. With the extra time left, he assisted me in bringing limbs down from a tree as well as using a chain-saw to cut them up. Incredible customer service beyond the call of duty!

I have used Mr Handyman several times in the past and all have been great experiences. They painted the siding on my home and did a great job. Customer service is always very helpful and workers always show up on time. I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Really great about explaining what and why they were taking the steps they were during the repairs. The only thing that I could suggest is to not show up smelling like cigarette smoke. He smelled as though he had sat in a truck for 2 hours smoking. Then came back again like that when he ran for supplies and returned.

The company went out and took care of the service on the same date fast and reliable service.

All of their handymen have done a great job.

Overall the work was done satisfactory. I want all of the particle board floor replaced in my kitchen area; however, the Technician decided to only replace the damage wood in this area, not what I requested. He stated he didn't have a tool to do properly. Not happy with this job but work was complete on plywood floor replacement.

The handyman arrived on time and went to work immediately and finished very close to time quoted.

Pleased with the fence repair.
