Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater King of Prussia

I wanted to start this review by saying Joe did a great job fixing our clog and the missing three stars are due to office management. I reached out to Mr. Rooter because they had a $95 special going on for a drain cleaning, which turned out to be a bait and switch tactic that these chain companies unfortunately use to get business. This is the type of company that instructs their service technicians to state information that contradicts the specials that they advertise. I was told at the beginning that the $95 covers the first 45 minutes of snaking, and thought, hmm that's weird, but whatever it won't take any longer than that since I've had this done twice in the past couple of years. Ended up taking 1 hour and 20 minutes, which included cleanup time and getting everything back into the van. The longer time stemmed from starting at the cleanout first then moving to the kitchen sink after no luck outside. The office was then trying to charge me $350 on top of the $95. I had to get to a meeting in Philly so I couldn't stand around and argue price with the office. I caved and told them get rid of the $95 and I'll pay $350 right now. I only should have been charged the $95 per the advertised special and the terms and conditions. I've included photos of both and my document search for "45" and "minutes". No hits. So this office is making up Ts&Cs as they go and making their field guys doing the work look like the bad guys when it is in fact management causing these headaches. I will be reporting this bait and switch to the BBB.

I had a good experience with Nicholas of Mr. Rooter. I had requested a new toilet but he saved me a lot of money by repairing the old one instead. He was knowledgeable about heating and cooling, and started working on a long-standing summer humidity problem, which we expect to persue further during the most humid months. I would recommend your company.

Did a great job for a good price. Nicest guys.

EDIT: This company is now spamming me with phone calls for leaving this review. I do not recommend them and I want them to stop calling me immediately. Not only do they charge nutty amounts of money ($500+ to inspect a 3 to 6 inch pipe), they will send you unsolicited spam texts months later without indicating how you can stop the messages. Pretty sure that's illegal. Their chatbot is also useless.

Joe and Dennis did a great job installing my new water heater and deck spigot. They are professional, experienced and pleasant to have in my home. They cleaned up and put my house back to the way it was before they left. I would refer them to anyone without hesitation

We called for a same day visit and the service started out ok. After the initial request was delt with, the technician insisted that more work would need to be done. He misrepresented the scope of the problem and used pushy tactics to trick my wife into agreeing to additional services. He stated that "emergent repair" would need to be done to the vent pipe in our yard. He described extensive repair work to fix "damage to the pipes". My wife, who was home alone with 3 children (one of whom was a crying baby) reluctantly agreed when she couldn't reach me at work. The technicians then proceeded to remove my perfectly functions vent cap and replace it with an unsightly $25 piece of PVC. That whole process took less than 5 min and they billed me $555. When I called the owner to inform him his technicians misrepresented the scope of work to my wife and bullied her into work we didn't need or want, he said, "I'm running a business. I need to make money". This is what $555 gets you
