Mr. Rooter of Maryland

He showed up and said my toilet eventually would need to be replaced because it is older. Although I called for a repair he tried to sell me to replace all toilets in my house. Once the repair was completed he called me to the bathroom to show me it was no longer constantly running water. As he bent down to show me the water fillng the bowl he fell into my toiler paper holder and unknown to me he broke it. After he left it was literally hanging from the wall. I immediately called ANgi and the company and by the afternoon they sent the same person back to assess and repair the damage. He told me it was just a loose screw. but when he tried to tighten it it would not tighten so then he proceeds to put a large amount of glue and glued it back to the wall. He held it in place and was blowing on it to dry for over 30 minutes. When he finished he asked I not use it for 24 hours. After he left, the toilet holder was glued but now was crooked. My toilet paper will no longer sit on the holder without sliding down. It did not do that prior to this damage. I now have the expense of hiring someone to fix his repair and repaint because the glue was all over my bathroom wall with his hand and finger prints around the holder.

Angie’s List provided me with the names of at least 3 companies, one of which was Mr. Rooter of Maryland. I submitted my request for service via the Angie’s List online process. Within about 15 minutes Kim from the Mr. Rooter call/dispatch center contacted me via phone, verified my request and informed me, Rich, one of their experienced well technicians would be responding to my residence within the next 90 minutes. Kim was polite and professional. Kim informed me the Technician would contact me when he was close to my residence. Kim provided me with a very good first impression of the Mr. Rooter company. I am very happy and satisfied with Kim and Rich and the company they represent, Mr. Rooter. They truly made me feel like a VIP customer and not just a number. Rich performed the work he described as promised and when promised. The price was reasonable and the equipment/materials Rich used are top shelf. I am very happy and satisfied with Kim, Rich and Mr. Rooter of Maryland!

This plumbing job turned out to be much more extensive than I thought it would be, and wound up costing me 3x the originally quoted price, but as a homeowner who recently lived through a flood claim renovation (due to a completely unrelated plumbing issue) I’m grateful the work was done so well by a professional who cared enough to save me future headaches. He was extremely pleasant, did a beautiful job, and patiently explained - and showed me - why each part needed to be replaced before starting the job. 10/10, would recommend, and I plan to use this company again.

Some other reviews remarked that this company might be a bit on the pricey side, but one gets what one pays for. We hired Mr. Rooter to unclog a pedestal sink in a tight bathroom. The tech, Dillon, came out to provide an estimate yesterday afternoon (both verbal and in writing), and returned today to complete the work. He was impeccably professional, very competent, and efficient. He had to replace the old zinc p-trap and snake the line, but not only has the clog now been eradicated, but also the sink has been future-proofed with a new PVC pipe. Dillon left the area clean, and his estimate about the job taking about an hour was bang on. He also provided us with a bottle of preventative biodegradable solution to stave off the chance of future clogs. We would certainly hire Mr. Rooter again if necessary, and definitely recommend the company to others.

Mr. Rooter required 3 visits to correctly install a new water heater. After the initial install, the water would not heat properly. The second visit caused leaks that required a third visit to repair. Although response times were prompt for scheduling, there were no updates provided by the technician regarding work outside of automated notifications.
