Mr. V's Handyman Services

I called Mr. V's Handyman Services to do some outside trim repair work last November. Walked around the house with him to show everything I wanted to have repaired. He didn't take any notes, so half of it was forgotten during his first visit and the half that was done was horrible work. He came back to fix this after I complained. Now, 6 months later, the repaired trim pieces are starting to fall off on their own. I sent Mr. V's an e-mail with a picture showing the problem a week ago and have not heard back at all. I will move on an find someone else to take care of this.

He was late, didn't keep his work, poor service, did faulty work on my shed. Other handyman said he would have to take shed apart and redo completely to do properly. I do not know how he can stay in business since word of mouth is usually the best marketing feature for general contractors. Never returned our phone calls, and lied in general on many items. He never even offered to correct mistakes, and I'm not sure that I would ever trust him on my property again even.

I hired Mike to remodel my bathroom. I gave him $4,500 for material. He had two people tear out all of my bathroom fixtures which took them 1 day. They left and I never hear from them again. I tried contacting Mike by phone and e-mail. It has been almost 2 months. They took my money and ran. Mike is a real jerk.

Did not do a good job of installing a wood floor or putting in drywall. Still finding areas that are not well done and are having to re do or finish off what they couldn't do. I wish they had told me they weren't experienced enough to do the floor I wanted to put in.

John did everything he said he'd do. He showed up on time and didn't leave until the work was done. Great service

The work done on the first day, installing a new light switch and nailing down a floor strip were great. (Actually the handyman's father did these.) The handyman was to install a hand rail in a shower. He measured out the rail, bought the hand rail and started to drill holes in the tile. He claimed the tile was thick and he needed a stronger drill bit. He said he'd be back the next day, at the same time. He did not show up to finish the hand rail job and never responded to texts or voice mails left on his phone. We will never hire him again for anything.

On the day of the job, the contractor showed up more than 1 1/2 hours late, which my personal schedule off the rest of the day. I had to force him to leave before the job was completed due to needing to pick up my wife from work that day. If he showed up on time, he could have finished on time. Also, after he left, the sheet rock putty dried and the results showed up. The seams were not filled in and flush and there were gaps where the ceiling meets the replacement sheet rock. He was pleasant and polite while working but was definitely not a professional sheet rock hanger. I will not pay this contractor the bid price until the situation is resolved. If it is not resolved, I may have to find somebody else or attempt to finish by myself. I am very hesitant to use your service listing again if you have contractors like this.

He called very quickly and kept his appointments! He didn't leave until the job was a done, and did a good one. Thankful for the help!

Job was to stop leak, change and install new shower faucet. He only was able to fix the leak and couldn't install the new shower which he just put in a rubber oring seal and also changed out the pipe that goes for the bottom shower pipe. Still not a new shower set. Took the whole day and could not take off the metal pipes. Didn't change out what I wanted and still charged me for the hours he was here. He did however didn't charged me for the items he had bought hoping to change it. He was very friendly but I think I shouldn't have to pay for hours wasted that he couldn't do it.

Mike and Chris did a fantastic job. Extreme attention to detail on my project and the courtesy they both had towards me and my loft was refreshing. I would highly recommend them both to anyone and I will definitely call upon Mike next time. Thanks

this gentleman was on time and he was polite. he did not get the faucet fix but did agree to come back and put new faucet for half of the cost. he did not change for putting on new toilet lid. screws had been stripped so we could not do it ourselves.
