Craig was phenomenal, he showed up early and had already started his outside inspection of the house. He gathered us up and explained everything in easy to understand detail. He mentioned all repairs and didn't make them seem scary or like the house would fall apart if they weren't immediately addressed. He was kind, professional, and made sure to answer any questions we had. Even his inspection report was easy to read and had pictures with descriptions.

Brian and his son Christopher were incredibly professional and understanding. I am not that savvy when it comes to construction, etc lingo...so Brian explained everything to me in terms I could understand. I didn't feed rushed throughout the inspection, they were very thorough. I received my report that evening and it was very detailed, included tons of photos and descriptions of what we reviewed. I am very impressed and would recommend Mt. Vernon to anyone looking for an inspector!

When I first called, I was not expecting to speak with any one because it was a holiday weekend. But when I called Craig Popp, he answered and spoke with me about the needed home inspection. He was also available in the time that we needed, and so we scheduled it. Craig arrived early. Before we started the inspection, he explained how the inspection will go, what he will look at, and in the order that we will look at each area of the house. He was very thorough. His answers to our questions were direct and clear. The inspection report mirrored this as well. I am happy with the home inspection and customer service and would recommend Craig Popp.

My inspection was 11/28/15 in Amesbury, MA. They worked as a 2man team. The lead inspector wasn't very friendly or help when I asked him questions. It seemed to me that he was in a rush to finish the inspection as fast as possible. He was rude to his partner. Every time the partner found something that he wanted to share with me the lead inspector said that it was a big deal and don't waste your time. As whole they quickly glanced through the property without paying attention to the little details. As the home buyer I didn't appreciate that my questions were brushed off. I didn't feel as though this inspection was through. I even had to point out some issues that they missed. I would not recommend for inspect anybody's property if you want to found out what problems you be facing in the future.

They had a cancellation so they met my availability needs. Two guys did the inspection and explained everything as they went along. They made some suggestions to remedy easy problems. They were very thorough and did not rush through the inspection. It took about 2 1/2 hours. They promised to e-mail the report by 6 p.m. this evening. They did not mention a paper copy of the report.
