I do not even know where to start, but whatever you do, do not hire this company! I have never written a bad review in my life, but I was completely burned by Troy and his team. I hired them a year ago to finish a room and a hallway, in addition to installing three new doors. Every part of the process was done poorly and incorrectly. The doors were crooked and installed with only brad nails, with nothing more to support the door! The drywall tape was filled with bubbles and was peeling up in several spots. They did not bother to take outlet face plates off; they just cut the drywall holes around them, leaving 1/2-inch gaps! They threw away my antique vent covers. The worst part of all of this was the fact that they cracked an entire wall of tile in my bathroom, a room they did not even do work in! Initially, they offered to repair the bathroom at a discounted rate. Given I had no other options, I agreed, and we signed a contract for the work to be done midway through last summer. When the time came, they were a no-show. On top of that, they did not respond to my emails, calls, or texts. During the first estimate, Troy boasted about how honest and responsive they were. Do not be fooled by this liar! What a disappointing experience.

Mudslingers was completely awful to work with. We hired them to serve as a general contractor for a bathroom installation in an unfinished basement space. We were very unhappy with the process of working with them and had difficulties every step of the way--from getting accurate quotes from them, getting quality advice, communication issues, and having sound, reliable work done. 1) Quality of Advice and Work Some of Mudslingers subcontractors did not always seem very sound. One subcontractor discovered something he said absolutely should not have been done (another subcontractor covered an electrical outlet with wall framing). Mudslingers also gave us information that our plumber later told us was absolutely incorrect (regarding how the plumbing could be run). They did not seem to keep good track of what was going on at the house or what needed to be done--We had to hound them to come back to finish some aspects of work and they sent people on days they were not scheduled to do anything. I thought scheduling and keeping track of the project was exactly what the general contractor was supposed to do. 2) Budgeting The estimate we received from Mudslingers and the amount that we agreed to when we hired them ended up being incorrect by a couple of thousand dollars. They ended up letting us know about halfway through the process that they had calculated incorrectly and we would owe more money. At the end of the project, they double charged us for work, amounting to a few more thousand dollars. 3) Communication issues Mudslingers was very difficult to communicate with. There were emails I sent with questions or requesting confirmation that they would not respond to until I had followed up several times. Sometimes, they would say they would get back to us in a day or two and we would not hear back from them for a couple of weeks. Other times they never responded at all. Even after I asked them to keep us updated on schedules, they would not let us know when people were coming over. The last time I brought this up with Troy, he said it was not possible to keep us updated due to schedules changing constantly and that this lack of communication was outlined in our original statement of work. However, people also showed up outside the outlined hours in our contract (someone showed up on a Saturday--I thought someone had broken into the house!). Furthermore, tile work was moved out about a week without them notifying us. We had people showing up needing to talk with us without Mudslingers ever telling us to expect them or a call, so I would have to interrupt my work (stepping out on meetings or showing up late to calls) to meet with them. Subcontractors would seem genuinely surprised that Mudslingers had not notified us that they were coming. I thought I had hired a general contractor to handle these issues. 4) Attention to Detail and Thoughtfulness Regarding Our Project From the outset, Mudslingers provided an estimate with very little detail or forethought. This caused a lot of problems down the road as subcontractors would show up unsure of what to do. We would have to make snap decisions that did not always turn out to be optimal for space, without any real guidance from Mudslingers. This also resulted in spending more money as certain things were not accounted for in their original estimate.
Response from Mudslingers Drywall & Remodeling, LLC
"Anissa, We are sorry to see this review as we were never under the impression that there were any issues or concerns that weren?t immediately addressed once we were notified of any such questions. We tried to accommodate your every change and addition as best and as quickly as we could mid-project (ie. In floor heat, glass panel change, etc.) As for the details which you are speaking of having workers showing up on site we do have in our ?what to expect packet?,which we go over during the contract signing process (I know you preferred not to go over this document or the contract with us as you didn?t have time to do so and wanted to do vi"
