Mulligan's Tree Service, Inc.
About us
Terry Mulligan purchased a tree service company in 1975 and named it Mulligan Tree Service, Inc. Trimming and removing trees along with land clearing wasn't fulfilling to Terry so he purchased the first truck-mounted tree spade in Minnesota. Along with the purchase, Terry was "Mulligan Tree Moving and Landscaping Company." As the years came and went, Terry's tree moving business grew to be the largest in the industry in the 1980s. To complement the tree moving business and to continue growth, Mulligans did small landscape jobs, seeding and sodding in the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1988, Terry and his wife, Mary Beth, purchased their current farm and home. Terry started to grow trees to use in the business. In 1990, Mulligan's realized the fierce competition in the tree moving business, and Terry began to change the business to do custom landscape, with the idea that the tree moving business could complement the landscape design/build business. In 1996, the last truck-mounted tree spade was sold and the transformation completed to a high quality landscape design/build contracting business. In 1997, the Mulligan team decided to change the name and started "Mulligan's." No project too big or too small for Mulligan's! Give us a call today! In recent years, Mulligan's has completed residential jobs ranging from a single shrub for an elderly widow to $110,000.00 total landscaping for a single-family home. We have also done commercial projects from planting annual flowers at an entrance monument of a new sub-division to a $900,000.00 landscaping project at Willinger's Golf Course. Along with his duties as CEO-Owner of Mulligan's, Terry also owns and oversees the operations of our sister company, "Bridgewater Tree Farms," which has grown to almost 200 acres and 80,000 trees. This insures that Mulligan's will always be supplied with the best quality trees available. Bridgewater Tree Farms also supplies other landscaping companies from Minnesota to Kansas City to St. Louis to Denver and everywhere in between. Terry & Mary Beth's plans for the future are to continue to grow both companies but only at a rate that will maintain the highest possible quality. Terry's motto is: "If we can't do quality work at a fair price, then we shouldn't do the job!"
