Pat Murphy and his hard working team at PHM Inc. have transformed my backyard. They were able to redo my patio and preserve the bricks that had initially been laid almost 40 years ago. Pat listened, answered questions and kept me up to date on the schedule. I enjoyed working with Pat and I appreciated his expertise and knowledge. I am looking forward to working with PHM again. I can't wait to again have family gatherings and create a garden space we will enjoy for years to come.

We used PHM for lawn care this past summer and clean up in the fall. Overall we've had a good experience with the team and have appreciated the service, especially the gutter clean-outs and leaf clean-up! They have been responsive as well when I've reached out with questions or concerns. If we decide we would like lawn service next year (likely), we won't look elsewhere.

Our townhouse complex has used PHM for lawn care and snow removal for many years, probably over a decade. They do a nice job. What they are really good at is customer service. Pat is really good at communication and responsiveness to questions and concerns, and accomodations.

Completed planting 10 hemlock trees and mulch. Looks good, however I had to do some shoveling to properly drain the area when it rained. Very competitive pricing.

Turned out to be quite nice and I hope those Hemlock Trees work out better than you expect I did not know there was an issue with drainage after the rainfall. We would be happy to come out and move some soil out of the way to get the drainage corrected. If it happens again please email me right away. Being right next to a wetland at the bottom of the slope we might expect some water to be present at times, but not to the point where you need to go out and correct it with a shovel."

The P.H.M team was extremely responsive through the whole process. Pat provided detailed information around each phase of the project and made very helpful recommendations. The project took a couple days and Pat and his team were very consistent in when they’d show up and when they’d leave. The patio looks great and is exactly as we design and requested. The patio is too new to comment on durability, wear, or anything like that, but regardless, I’d recommend Pat and his team for your patio paver job.

Had Pat and his crew install a 20 foot by 24 foot patio. Pat is very knowledgable after his almost 40years in the business. He is an excellent communicator, always got back to me within 2hrs if not right away! Very pleased with the work, and the care he took in helping with the yard appearance when the patio was installed. Gave me the confidence I wanted in having someone who has been there and done that a time or two, but also can provide the attention necessary to help with questions home owners may want. I really enjoyed going with his experience over a larger company that may have been able to complete a project in a day, but would not have given me the confidence Pat and his crew gave me that their work would last a lifetime! Would definitely recommend so others can continue to enjoy his work too

I hired Murphy's Lawn and Landscape to replace my backyard patio and repair an adjoining rock wall. The craftsmen who worked the job were attentive to our requests (protect our lawn, respect our neighbors property etc..). The patio and rock wall were done with excellent quality. The communication with Pat was excellent. The job was done on time and as expected.

Murphy's Lawn & Landscape did a great job for us. Pat, the owner, came out to discuss the projects we were considering. One thing I really appreciated is that he told me how they would do each project and why they would do it that way. He was very knowledgeable and patient to answer all of my questions. He gave me an estimate for the work that was extremely competitive with some others. He and his crew were professional and we were impressed at how clean they left the work site at the end of each day. The end result was exactly what we were hoping for and he came in on budget. Pat and Murphy's Lawn & Landscape (P.H.M.) were recommended to us for a small landscaping job. As it turns out, small isn't actually small, so we did some work last fall...and then were return customers for more work this spring. Pat was very responsive and I really appreciated that he had plenty of suggestions for us. We're not landscapers, we're busy, we don't actually want to choose from too many options...and his years of experiences helped us trust his opinions and suggestions, which helped us a lot. My husband and I are repeat customers of Murphy’s Lawn and Landscaping (PHM). We used Murphy twice for large landscaping projects. They not only transformed our yard, but gave us a yard that we never used to something we enjoy every day. Pat Murphy’s crew did a great job. Our patio was made of granite pavers from old Saint Paul city streets, irregular in shape and heavy. This job required design work, landscaping, and a lot of heavy lifting. They were prompt, thorough, efficient, polite—we are so happy with the results.

Pat graciously acted on all of our changes throughput this project and executed the “final version” beautifully. They bent over backwards to accommodate our (changing) deadline and were able too complete the patio in time for an important July 4th event. They worked tirelessly BY HAND (no machines) to do this large patio (400 sq. ft) in our inaccessible back yard and were able to tie into existing hardscape beautifully. The crew was courteous, conscientious and professional in every way.
