Because the current issue you are experiencing is internal to the water heater itself, it falls under A.O. Smith?s jurisdiction. Their technical support And claim number is 1-800-527-1953. Murrays did an amazing job and I will be sure to use them again.
I was quoted 3500 from 2 bigger plumbing companies for a removal and new install of a hot water heater that is located on a 6 ft platform located halfway in the attic.
Murrays did the job the same day for $2200. Tyler was out here 45 minutes after our original phone call. He went out of his way to make sure my family did it stay without water.
6 or 7 hour total on a weekend (and did not up charge weekend rates). Thanks again for all your help.

Next day service, fast, clean, polite and respectful. Bid was $2000 under what local corporate plumbing company bid it for, and three days sooner. Excellent independent plumber who will be my first call next time I have a plumbing issue. Cannot recommend enough.
