Invoice of over $300 for a thermostat that I told them needed to be replaced, and a rudimentary check of the other thermostat to make sure that it was functional. When I called to discuss the exorbitant cost, what I got was a comment that they do flat rate service charges and that these just cover their costs. They had two guys on the call (estimate of about 35-40 minutes of work for one person). I am not sure why they needed two at all when the work could readily have been done by one person. The thermostat they installed is valued at $40.

We are sorry this is how you felt. We always advise our clients of the cost of the repair or replacement before moving forward, and you accepted at the time of service. The charges were for the trip and diagnostic. We went through bother thermostats, the cost of the thermostat, installation, and labor. There is more to this review than is said, and I want our clients to rest assured that we aim for fair pricing and quality service.

I had the polite gentleman over twice, he snaked/videoed the line out to the street. His equipment was not in very good condition, but my sister was with him and he showed her what he said was a clog under the sidewalk. The charges were around 600 dollars. He said we need to call the county and have them rectify this. We called the county, but the county said we need to call FGUA. FGUA sent out a contractor who could not check anything but between manholes on street. Nothing noted there. The camera had been real-time and no video could be viewed, which was what the contractor wanted. I contacted the plumber and he said it would be 235.00 dollars for him to come back and get the camera views for the contractor. I said, he should/would have known this and it was wrong. I did not want to pay that much again and he said he would speak with the boss and get back to me. This was a week ago and I have heard nothing. Since I have no real diagnosis or anything to show for the money spent, I have another company, IERNA coming out. UPDATE: The other plumbing company I hired after Pronto was excellent and has ACTUALLY seen and videoed the issue and has involved the proper local utilities. Apparently, this is a very in depth problem and I am glad I have the proper plumbing company on board. I received a text from HomeAdvisor asking for this review, otherwise, I would have kept silent.
