Project: Repair or Service an Appliance
The repairman looked at the dishwasher and verified that it was not worth paying the money to repair and that I could use that money towards a replacement dishwasher, which is what I ended up doing.

Abby, the phone receptionist, called within 10 mins of posting an appliance repair request on Home Advisor. She made an appt for Mel to come the following day. He made an assessment incl parts for repair and arrived back two days later. Problem solved. Excellent service.

Didn't really do anything but tell me that I didn't have the problem

Mel the technician was a nice enough guy - very professional. Just wish I had chatted with him on the phone as the initial home visit cost $79 for a 15-minute conversation that included opening the doors a few times (not even pulling the fridge away from the wall). Unfortunately the recommended fix did not work and left me with the option to invest more money to find the problem vs. simply buying a new fridge. I'm just going to buy a new fridge - seems like by the time I get to the bottom of the actual problem I'll be halfway to a new fridge anyways.
