My son was in a panic when his Chromebook went blank on the very first day of distance learning, during his very first zoom meeting with his new teacher! My job went virtual due to the Corona virus pandemic and I was not prepared to work from home. I didn't have anything set up to work remotely and I was having problems installing all of the software my employer required me to use. I was in a bit of a panic, but when I explained the urgency of my situation to James he came right away. He really knows his stuff, he figured out what was wrong and fixed it in about 15 minutes. He was friendly and polite and got the job done. I will definitely call him again in the future if I ever have other tech problems. Saved me a huge amount of stress.

James is truly amazing. He is very patient and understanding. My mom (Spanish speaking) and 6 year old niece needed help with her laptop for school. The camera would not turn on. James help them and tried to explain everything as best as he could to my 6 year old niece and she understood! My mom even though she doesnt understand english was pleased with his work! James is the best! As my parents age, keeping up with technology has been a challenge for them. To simplify the process, we hired James to install a universal remote and outdoor surround system, as well as set up a program to manage their passwords. Wow, what a difference! They love how easy everything is now, and especially appreciate how patient and thorough James was to explain and help them understand the setup. They were also very appreciative of James' attention to their health and wellbeing, adhering to COVID-19 protocols. This is of great concern to them right now and James helped ease their worry. James is amazing! From the initial contact via phone, he was professional and knowledgeable. He was able to come out to my home right away and take care of the problems i was having with my computer. He was detailed and made sure everything was running smoothly before he left and made sure i understood exactly what the problem was. James, will definitely be my go to Tech Guy!

James (the owner) showed up at my place right on time, as promised. He gave me a very short window for his arrival and he arrived just at the start of the window. I explained the problem (the best I could), which was weak internet signal in different places throughout my house. My place isn't that big. I also pay for the most expensive AT&T broadband connection. And yet I had problem all the time connecting to the internet from my bedroom, my office and from my attached garage (which is not more than 20 feet from my internet hub). James spent about 10 minutes looking at my gear and my setup. Then he spent another ten going through some settings on my modem and devices. He also reset my password so now I don't have to rattle off some massive password when guests need to use my internet. After he had reset a few things and replaced (I think) one ethernet cable, he walked me around the house with my phone to test the connection. I worked all the way to the very far corners of my backyard! This was a week ago, and I haven't had a problem since. Highly recommend James and myoctechguy.com to anyone in the OC area.
