N.E.W Remodeling and Construction

The younger Nornan of New Remodeling is a crook with plenty of excuses. I hired him to repair some walls, move a couple of shelves, and install kitchen cabinet knobs. He estmate was over $400. He wanted half of front. Not hearing from him again, I called multiple times. He was sick, had appointnents, truck broke down, etc, etc. After a month and a half, I asked him to at least get the knobs installed. He finally sent his father, Norman to do the job. That was it. The younger Normam NEVER returned to my house and he refused to refund any of my $250.

Wanted half up front that he guessed at being $1200. Wife and he mad because we would only $250. No shingle replacements. Installed new pipe collar and sealed for leak. Remove section of water spot - which he did not have to do. No sanding no spackling. Wrong paint. It was a dimple where nail was. Did same thing to other pipe. Blew pine tags off roof using our blower and no clean up. Here for 45 minutes. Final charge $1800. Would not give us an itemized bill. Do not bother.

After numerous calls and to no avail to try and get corrective responses, I decided to write this review. In February 2021 we hired Norman White (NEW Remodeling & Construction) to Remove /Replace the Upper Deck/Railings, Build New Lower Level Deck, and all New Rails and Trex Decking Boards to be installed (see the actual picture of the deck, that is displayed on this website for the advertisement of their work) What you do not see in the picture is all the inadequacies of workmanship and numerous deficiencies! Such as no permit, no inspections, improper rail install and no required hold-down anchors to secure railing posts to the deck frame, rails buckling after (2) years of installation, inadequate support posts, girders on lower level deck, no stair lights to illuminate steps for safety, and more. Needless to say.. it is February 2023, and we had to incur additional time and cost to hire a Qualified Licensed, and Bonded Contractor to get the quality of workmanship and resolution!
