I would have given Tom a 6th star if there was one. We have hired several home inspectors through the years, but Tom is by far the best. His focused attention to detail over the several hours of his inspection and then relating all his findings verbally was just the beginning . All of that was soon followed by a comprehensive written report that includes a description of each area inspected, his findings in each area and a photo of each area examined . All of this made for the most detailed inspection we have ever had. We used him for both the pre-drywall inspection, and the pre-settlement inspection. Without a doubt by presenting his findings to the construction manager of our new home, I am certain we have averted several potentially serious future problems with our home. The cost was money well spent. Top notch inspector!

Tom completed our home inspection. He was very professional and helpful. During the inspection he was very detailed with his review. His report was very thorough and the details were easy to understand and supported with pictures. Tom was extremely responsive after the report was delivered and assisted with a few minor corrections that were necessary. Tom McManus with NOVA Inspect was very thorough. I received a 50 page report with lots of photos and detailed information as to items the builder had neglected to do as well as numerous items that were not up to par. He also made numerous suggestions pertaining to things that I could do to protect my investment.

Tom is absolutely great!! I reached out to him via email to ask about quotes and he was very prompt with his replies. He was punctual and did a very thorough job with the home inspection. Once he had finished his inspection, he walked us through and showed us all the problems we had. He also told us how to repair them. He told us of problems that would happen in the future and how to keep an eye on it. As new home owners, he gave taught us so much about our home and how well to take care of it. If I could provide a rating of 10, I would. Tom was on time, took his time, was extremely thorough. In addition to explaining everything during the course of the inspection, he took lots of pictures and has provided a comprehensive written report. All items are well documented with supporting photos. He has also pointed out hazards and safety concerns to help prioritize areas needing to be addressed. This was a great experience that provided the "report card" we needed. Whether you are purchasing a home (existing/new), or just need an assessment of a home you already own, Tom with NOVA inspect is your guy!
