I hired the chap believing that he could do the whole ceiling fan installation, but he could not. He could not do the electrical job associated with the installation. He could not get the new fan to operate at all. I will need to hire an electrician in the New Year to evaluate the job and get the fan operational. My advice is to ask all the necessary questions regarding the details of the job before hiring.

"This project was supposed to be a ceiling fan installation only. Which I performed. Customer did not provide adequate information regarding existing conditions of switch or electrical system. I am by no means an electrician. I stayed for over 4 hours trying to help get the fixture to work, but was unable to do it safely, and thus recommended that an electrician be contacted. I made it very clear prior to performing the work that I was not capable of excess electrical work. It was an unfortunate outcome, but ultimately the safest way to complete the switch and wiring repair was to hire an electrician. I even offered to refund a partial credit for the work."

This home inspector was great. Not only did he agree to drive all the way out to my future home in Spring Hill, he also showed up on time and conducted a very thorough walk through of the house. He also set up and coordinated with a termite inspection company so I didn't have to do a single thing. Overall his quote was also the cheapest out of every other company I looked at.
