Write a ReviewI purchased an annual warranty program from NW HVAC last year. As part of the program I had a follow up Heating and Cooling check, this year at no charge. I asked about having a new thermostat installed during the service and Shane and I agreed on a price, which I thought was reasonable. Wes arrived yesterday to do the service and I confirmed the thermostat install with him. After Wes completed the annual check of the heating and cooling he came in to install the thermostat. We assumed it wouldn't take long, as it was pretty routine for him and he shared with me that he had the same thermostat in his home. When Wes got everything hooked up the thermostat would not come on. After checking the voltage he found the amperage was well below what was needed to activate it. At that point I was ready to just have him reinstall the old one. He checked at the furnace and the amperage was good. He thought there might be an issue with the wiring but had to go into the crawl space to look. He found a point where the wiring had been chewed by rodents. (When we purchased the house, four years earlier, there had been a rodent infestation in the crawl space but it had all been remediated.) Wes said he could splice it, so we agreed for him to continue. After completing the splice he still found the amperage had not improved and the thermostat still wouldn't turn on. The wiring from the furnace to the thermostat was around 8 feet so we thought replacing the wiring would be the best route to go. After pulling the old line there were three additional spots where rodents had chewed on the wiring. (We were both amazed that the furnace had been functional during the last four years, based on the condition of the wiring. The old thermostat worked because it was battery assisted) Wes ran a new line and after hooking it up everything worked fine. Wes also discovered that the old thermostat was only wired for a single stage, when in fact, the furnace was capable of two stage cycling. Wes made sure both the new thermostat and furnace were set up correctly. Wes went over the functions of the new thermostat with us. The service was excellent. His knowledge of how to address the issue was obvious and he made me feel like it was a challange to resolve it. Although it cost more to have the thermostat installed I feel that Wes also did more than anticipated and improved the functinality of the furnace as well. It was worth it. I have used NW HVA in the past and will use them in the future. Our thanks to Shane, Tomi, Steve and Wes.
Weâ ve been using NW HVAC for years now and we love them so much we have a service subscription with them. Theyâ ve flawlessly replaced two HVAC systems for us along with all the ducting (we have a huge house so we have two). They do bi-annual maintenance on both units. They also work on our propane shop heater. They are responsive, have reasonable pricing, and are always 100% accountable to their work. We are always so grateful to have found them. Itâ s hard to find companies that work like this these days. They focus on their relationship with us. They donâ t treat us like a transaction. If youâ re wondering if you should call them, just do it. Itâ s taken us years to get around to writing this review, but itâ s well deserved. Theyâ ve proven themselves to us again and again.
Appreciated having a call ahead to alert me when the repair person would be arriving. Appreciated the obvious knowledge of the repair person - Wes - and his ability to explain repairs and follow-up options to me. Appreciated office personnel who made the effort to address my concerns as soon as possible.
Steve and his crew are knowledgeable, efficient, and timely, They replaced our Heat Pump/Air Conditioner units as quickly as possible when we were having 100 degree temperatures. We highly recommend them, in fact we would give them a #10. We have had them do work since 2007. Thank you guys!!
friendly, nice people.
Came, fixed our problem quickly (loose wire in furnace) & only charged us for service call. Very nice & definitely would have again!
GREAT JOB I LIKE THEM AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Wow!! Literally two days before a cold front and snowstorm is predicted, my heat system broke.. I was able to get a tech out the very next day to diagnosis the problem(s), then Armando stopped by shortly after to help me with Quotes on which system fits best etc.. and very next morning the team was at my house to install everything! Literally just a few hours before the snow is supposed to start falling Absolutely impressed with everyone & everything - I’ll be letting my neighbors & friends know to contact NW HVAC for any help they need with their heating/air systems! Bravo to you all!!! I say 10 stars!!!
They were fast to come and resolved the problem. I am thankful for that. I believe I could have bought a thermostat for less, but I opted for the comfort of not leaving the house. So, all good!
They were willing to do the types of services that few other HVAC service companies would do, and at a decent price as well.
