The quote was outrageous--more than twice everyone else's. The salesman was likeable; but was obviously SELLING the job. He wasn't even going to be 1 of the installers. As a homeowner, I want to speak directly with the installer; and I want a price that is reasonable. A lifetime warranty doesn't mean much when any problems you're going to have with your tile job are probably going to occur within the first 3-5 years. PLUS, most people don't stay in their houses for 20-30 years; and even if they did, they would surely RE-model. That lifetime guarantee is NOT transferable, should you sell your house. So, how much warranty do you really need?
