In 2016 Neon Tree Service had a change in ownership and with that change we've continued to receive an ever-growing, loyal customer base of ‘raving fans’ who have been relying on us for all of their tree care needs. We specialize in all types of tree removal and trimming, tree thinning, canopy elevation, palm tree skinning and trimming, shrub and hedge pruning, brush removal, and stump grinding. After the cutting is done we take great pride in our cleanup and removal of all cut debris. All jobs start with a FREE job assessment with the client and a written quote. Your satisfaction with that quote and the final job is critical. We are licensed and insured to give you the peace of mind you deserve. I engaged this really good company at the full day's rate as I did have extensive cutting needed. The owner did a gorgeous job on trimming a shefelara out of my 30' fall Canary Date Palm which turned out to really embedded. It turned out to be probably a 3-4 hour job and now the tree is "saved" and looks terrific! Thank you Kelsey! There was just one limb left from a huge oak tree overhanging my garage that didn't get taken care of before time was exceeded. I do understand and the crew of 3 really worked hard all day, had to work around a FPL line, and left my place immaculate with ALL the debris removed from the site by the end of the day - about 5 p.m. I'm just disappointed that that one 30' branch still looms. However, I will hire NEON back after FPL vegetation removal happens near the power wires on another giant live oak tree. NEON can properly finish cleaning and shaping that oak and get that last limb over my garage trimmed at the same time. Be prepared though, this is pricey work but done by PROFESSIONALS. They're really a nice company!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
