I hired Beginnings Engineering for a structural project on my 45-year-old home and worked with Jonathon Sipe and Nada. I spoke with several other firms in Orange County first. Most of the alternative proposals leaned toward complicated, expensive “perfect” solutions that might make sense on a new build, but didn’t feel grounded in the reality of an older home. Jonathon took a different approach: he listened to what I was trying to accomplish, worked through the constraints with me, and came back with a solution that made sense in the real world—while still being safe and code-compliant. On top of that, the experience was just… easy. Communication was straightforward, follow-through was solid, and they were genuinely friendly people to deal with. They weren’t the lowest engineering quote, but they were the lowest-cost path overall because their design avoided the unnecessary construction scope other firms recommended.

Amazing communication from this amazing team. Absolute value for the all inclusive services you get from a professional and prompt team. I used architecture and engineering services for a major home addition and remodel. Additionally, Jonathon and his network was able to handle every issue from the city including great referrals for soil report and grading plan engineer. Don’t bother wasting your time getting more quotes, this is the firm to use.

Jonathon was great. We had a serious accident at our house that required a structural assessment. He responded right away and came within hours. He was knowledgeable and had great advice. He was able to bring in the right resources to get our work done quickly, which helped us out a lot.

I called on a Friday evening and Jonathon answered. I needed a structural engineer inspection to satisfy an underwriting requirement of the lender for a house I was selling. Jonathon came out that weekend, was very pleasant and helpful and I had the letter I needed first thing Monday morning. I was quite impressed with his service and would definitely use him again.

It went great. Very responsive and professional. Jonathon met me at the property . Took all measurements needed. They sent me back the drawings in PDF form. I submit to city . They went through 4 plan checks , no revisions . Approved. Quick and easy.

Work performed was excellent. City approved the plans without request for revision. All questions and concerns were addressed promptly and effectively. Would recommend and would hire again. We wanted to add on to our home so my parents could move in and New Beginnings designed exactly what we hoped for. We added 3,000 square feet of living space and an additional 2 bathroom's. I worked with Jonathon and his team through the whole process. They are extremely responsive, professional, and patient (lol) and the finished product cleared all inspections seamlessly. I highly recommend new beginnings for your home remodel! They are great!

Went great, very responsive and great service.

We recently got turned down by the city of riverside on getting a roof permit. After many calls trying to find an engineer we came across new beginnings engineering. We gave them a call and Jonathon was here by the next day to inspect the roof. That same evening Trina sent us a letter that we could present to the city. Our roof contractor was able to get the approval from the city with no more issues. If I could give them 10 stars I would. We had a great experience working with them. They are quick and efficient; I cannot recommend them enough

My experience with New Beginnings Engineering was great. From my initial contact Jonathon was very responsive and a wealth of knowledge. I knew right away I was in good hands. He took the time to listen and explain the project process. He was flexible and came out meet and do the inspection to meet my schedule. Fees were very reasonable for the level of service and quality of work. I would recommend NBE for any remodel or new construction project. I will definitely use the m again on any upcoming project.

Jonathon and team provided a comprehensive set of plans for my ADU. The plans were professionally done and delivered on time. Jonathon was knowledgeable and friendly during the site visit and really helped finalize the design. I am planning on building more ADU’s and am glad I found a solid structural team! I will 100% use this company in the future!
