Alfonso and his crew were prompt, came the same day we spoke, repaired the holes the plumbers left in the bathroom in about 3 hours and cleaned up. Price was reasonable, though a little over what my home warranty company provided. However, I was able to handle the added expense so am happy. I will be calling them for future jobs (including others in addition to any sheetrock work).

New Era / Alfonso Resendez contacted us quickly after we submitted our info in Home Advisor and came and did a walk through to go over the project. His bid arrived two days later as promised. The bid was reasonable when compared with the others we had received. The project was to paint the entire inside of the house, install dry wall where a built in cabinet/fireplace had been removed, and install tile in that a small area. The work also included patching several places where electrical outlets and light fixtures had been removed/replaced, and painting ceiling fan trim to match the new paint color. Alfonso indicated that he had a crew available to start the next Monday and they arrived on-time as promised. The project was estimated to take four weeks to complete and he assured me that a crew would be dedicated to it until it was finished. That is exactly what happened; a crew was on-site six days per week for a little over three weeks. During the work the crew was punctual, polite, and responsive to any questions or problems. Alfonso was on-site with his crew most days and always available by phone when we had questions or concerns. As would be expected we found several things that we wanted changed or added during the work and Alfonso was great in working those in and not asking for additional money. The work was completed on-time and within budget. As we were putting the house back in order we found several places that the paint did not look quite right and called Alfonso to discuss. He sent his painter over the same day to do touch ups - no questions asked. I would recommend New Era with no reservations and will call Alfonso for any future work we have. Mr Resendez and his workers were very prompt, polite, efficient and honest. The final result was over and beyond what I expected. They did a fantastic job, and even helped catch my dog when I accidentally left him out. I highly recommend New Era Contractors.

Initial visit was on time and contacted right away. After that it was through texts. Alfonso Resendez hired a subcontractor and refused to guarantee the work unless i paid the entire $5,800.00 original quote....The subcontractor said he was only charging less than half so Alfonso Resendez was going to make the difference for only a few text messages.

"That is not the way it went Gloria. I quoted you $5800.00 to remove approximately 2 sheets of plywood and any rotted plywood on your fireplace. We were then going to repair stucco and paint your fireplace. I was to provide all the scaffolding and materials. I made out the contract for $5800.00 which would have been for the worst case scenario because we did not know what was behind the plywood or how much damage was behind walls. 1.I stopped by your house more than once so it wasn't just the initial visit and also spoke to you over the phone on various occasions, so it wasn't just through text. 2. You went behind my back and started asking my stucco guys how much I paid them which is wrong because the deal was between you and New Era. You signed the contract. I never asked for money upfront and I was not planning on charging you more, even if we had to do more than anticipated. My work is always guaranteed but you weren't willing to pay what we had agreed on paper. So out of courtesy I advised you to deal with my stucco guys. I also gave you some other references for other painters. At the end of the day I stopped by your house to pick up the contract and we talked, again, I didn't have to but I did because I wanted to leave on good terms. I do apologize for your dissatisfaction."

NEC responded to us promptly when others blew us off for bids. Did a great job. Robert, his crew member, was very nice to work with as well. He was very nice and accommodating and thought of things we missed so appreciate his attention to detail. Cleaned up well after themselves and were thorough in their work. We were remodeling from out of town and they kept us up to date and called with any questions which we appreciated. Would hire them again.
