I chose to work in this industry because as a second generation roofing company we are here to help keep a strong and waterproof roof over our local communities' homes.

Community Involvement

We are part of our local community and love to help the community thrive in many areas. Our President, Alfredo Arias and his family of wife and two daughters, drive the passion to help others.

They together donate time and effort in local charity events some of them include, helpings for the homeless, food drives for those in need, harbor house of central florida.

Alfredo helps our local children build character, physical strength, and a sense of team work by donating time in coaching soccer for the local chapter of Class Athlete.

Alfredo was great to work with from the estimate to work completion! We contacted three roofing companies for estimates. New Horizons provided the best price which included upgraded shingles & underlayment. The job started & ended per the schedule Alfredo provided. His employees did a great job & were careful to pick up the roofing debris when finished. Alfredo has a small, local business and takes very good care of his customers. I would strongly recommend using New Horizons for roofing needs!

Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof

Alfredo was great to deal with throughout the entire process! He was always professional and available for questions. They dropped off a dumpster on Saturday. Monday they started bright and early (7:00am). They laid out tarps to collect debris and started removal of old roofing. They repaired 5 truss members, repaired a section of roof in front, replaced some of the plywood deck, removed off ridge vents and started installing the underlayment. The shingles were supposed to arrive Tuesday morning but did not arrive until later that afternoon. They had roof dried in Tuesday before slight rain in the morning. Wednesday they completed shingle installation and torched down the rolled roofing on flat roof. The crew did great work!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
