Paid 160 dollars for a leak, for them to tell me I need to narrow it down by only using only one thing in the bathroom for some time. He always had me do a load of laundry and waited to see if it was the washer. Most expensive laundry ever. He told me on the phone it was 50 dollars to diagnose.

"Autumn, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service. Our technician was at your house for a couple hours trying to determine what was leaking. Any time we have a leak between the floors like this we open up the ceiling to find out what is leaking. You would not allow him to do that. He tried to narrow it down without opening the ceiling and was not able to do so. That is why you were instructed to try to narrow it down."

The service call extremely overpriced. The technician was there for literally 5 minutes. He re-lit the pilot on the water heater and charged me $160. I admit I should have confirmed the service fee before he came out; but I would expect that they would consider the actual issue and charge accordingly.

Very disappointed in the careless service provided by New Light Electrical and Plumbing. Plumber arrived and before even attempting to diagnose a hot water heater leak, he tried to sell me a new hot water heater. First a tankless, then a tanked. After telling him no 3-4 times, we finally talked about the repair. He stated it was a T&P valve without even looking at the water heater. I confirmed with him 3 times that he was certain of the diagnosis and he insisted so. He replaced the T&P valve, left, and the hot water heater continued to leak. Phoned another plumber to look at the problem, which turned out to be a bad pressure reducing valve. He stated it was an obvious diagnosis and checking water pressure was a standard first step in any diagnosis. Further stated that the water heater was in great shape and would likely last for many years to come. New Light was careless in their diagnosis, expensive in service, and deceitful in recommending unnecessary replacement.

The water heater is 15 years old and the manufacturers warranties were void. Replacing the T& P valve is the quickest & most cost effective solution to the weekend issue. I don't think they tried to repair the old one. The cost of 1,447.83 to replace with a new one was to pricey. also i have not receive a itemize statement of the parts and labor which all companies that i deal with write up after the job is finished.

"We apologize for not getting your paid receipt with all the details of your job, because .08 cents less was paid than what the actual invoice showed, we have to have our accountant adjust the invoice to show the .08 cents balance paid in full. The call was received at 10 a.m. and the service to install a new 50 gallon Low boy electric water heater at only $1300 plus tax was completed the same day without incident with the disconnection and disposal of the existing water heater included.The bottom of the heater was leaking indicating that the internal tank was ruptured and the casing compromised. After being given a quote from a company i always used ,and i paid for extra maintence protection and 10% discount,i knew they were way over chargeing me. I have another plumbing problem I'm waiting for my homeowners insurance to process and will request New Light to perform the plumbing portion.
