New York Wood Flooring is the best in New York City ! We have never seen such a comprehensive bid and the work is flawless. Tony the owner has been in business for over 30 years. There was some odd wood in the living room which we wanted to stain and lighten.After 4 other flooring companies bid on the job and he was the first person to identify the wood as wenge. ( its a very dark wood with many issues) No one else knew what it was. We are only part way into this job ( due to the pandemic ) and I am so impressed with New York Wood Flooring that I wanted to write a review. Hopefully I can update it when the job is done with photos.

Recommended a latte water=based finish which was too fragile for a kitchen floor. When I asked them to make it right they changed me an additional $300 and I felt that they should have paid for that cost not me.

They did a great job. They came as expected, provided exactly what was promised, the charges were precise,and the floor looks great.

It was one week from the day we connected to complete installation, everything done professionally and exactly to my specs. NY Wood Flooring is definitely pricey, but they do a fantastic job and are very professional. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and they completed the job on time under a tight deadline. I would definitely recommend them!

Salesman should of advised us that...water based poly had a matt finish. We were not advised of this. AFTER COMPLAINING..The workers put on an extra coat of gloss poly to achieve the desired look. Now I am satisfied.

New York Wood Flooring is the best contractor my husband and I used in over 30 years in Manhattan. Owner Tony was really knowledgable and professional and General manager Zoran followed us from start to finish, making sure his crew was always on time, hard working and tidy. The quality of the work was very very good and the few imperfections were immediately corrected. We even finished our project ahead of time and on budget. We couldn't have been happier with the results. We recommend this company and Zoran without reservations.

From the first visit, Tony has been very professional and extremely patient in explaining the entire staining process to us. They have a showroom (which we visited) to see different color finishes, so we were very comfortable about what we chose. Tony also spent some time to explain to us about the possible "blotchiness" that may happen on maple wood, to make sure we will not be shocked by the effect. We are extremely happy with their service (prior to the beginning of the job) and the work (during and after it was completed). A few spots were missed, but they promptly return to correct them. I highly recommend New York Wood Flooring.

I hired Tony to refinish my wood floors. His company did an excellent job on the wood floor. I meet with Tony after the job was done about some concerns I had about the floor and he was very patient and spent a good amount of time addressing those concerns.

Tony, the owner was professional and always on time. His workers were polite and reliable and finished the job in one day! I have not yet inspected the work; that will be in 2 weeks.

The crew must have hit the walls with the machinery a couple times as they took off a few chunks of paint in one room. Otherwise, the floors look amazing.

Carlos and his crew were excellent, Extremely easy to work with and very courteous.. I fully recommend them.
