Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
Yes, I recommend this pro
I reached out to Next Level Roofing & Construction for a paint quote as a referral from one of my good friends. I had seen their painting work results on two separate homes and believed they would be able to provide great results. The initial quote was easy and I learned they offer far more than just painting- they are contractors. Next Level Roofing & Construction was able to fit me into their schedule and one of their teams came out and started right away. They were able to provide a skim coat for the bathroom, cut into the wall and add recessed electrical (original home had external track electric in one of the bedrooms), repair said wall, paint multiple rooms, provide electrical updates in multiple rooms, and provide trim for windows and a door. Next Level Roofing & Construction is licensed and insured and provide their own equipment needed for the job. They were professional during the entire process. They provided honest feedback when asked what should be fixed vs. what could be done and even offered alternatives to save money. I would recommend Next Level Roofing & Construction for your next home project repair or upgrade!

We needed to find someone to finish our basement. Next Level came in and completed the job in 3 phases. Framing, Drywall, and a Media Wall including Connections. The work was done professionally and within a timely manner. I would definitely recommend their work. We are extremely satisfied.

We brought in Next Level to finish our basement and they did an AMAZING job! They were VERY responsive, flexible, and patient with us throughout the process. They went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction - even when it meant coming back after the work was completed. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so. The timeline to complete the project was longer than we expected, otherwise it was fantastic!

Sunroom or Patio Enclosure - Build
Yes, I recommend this pro
We worked with NPS to build a screened-in-porch on our home. We worked with James on the design and are so pleased with the porch! Our ideas and needs were clearly integrated throughout the design process but elevated by the expertise of the professionals at NPS. The price also seems incredibly competitive for what we got. The project, like most renovations took much longer than we had hoped, but we are very happy with the final result. I would be happy to talk to anyone who wants to work with NPS.

Dry walled my entire new house, excellent job, very smooth finish. They do great work and do not cut corners. Also installed insulation. Recommended them to my brother to remodel his bathroom. Also having them do my plumbing and electrical, no doubt they will do a great job!

Asphalt Shingle Roofing - Install or Replace
Yes, I recommend this pro
James crew where amazing. Very good at what they did and very polite. Did everything I asked them to do to protect my landscaping while tearing off my roof and replacing. James kept me informed ever step, even when there where delays. You will get customers who you just can't please. I have dealt with them when I worked. So before you pass on this company. Talk to the owner James. And again his workers are amazing.

Bathroom - Remodel
I am going to make this a short version .We hired NPS Sales and Services to remodel our bathroom .It was supposed to be a two week job,but it turned out way longer than that.I had to inform James Johnson that his services were no longer needed do to communication problems, wiring and plumbing done incorrectly and No license plumber or electrician on site.NPS Sales And Services had all the wiring and plumbing done wrong.I had to call the city and state inspectors out to take a look at the faulty work. That is when I called a Licensed plumbing and electrical company to come .They had to come and redo all the wiring and plumbing all over .After they were finish which this was the sixth week of a two week job the inspectors had to come back out to approve the work. Finally the work was done,Hallelujah!
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"You contacted an inspector to view the work that was not completed. When an inspector shows up on site his primary goal will be to find something that is not current to the existing code based on whatever state you are in. This does not mean that the job is WRONG it just means that it does not match your cities code. Plumbing is plumbing everywhere. Electrical is electrical everywhere. You jumped the gun and extended your job far more than it should have been extended to. Myself and my contracting manager are licensed in different states respectively but nonetheless LICENSED & BONDED. As you stated, we did not complete your job due to your issue with communication, not because of the work that was done. You did not pay the 2nd half of your bill in a $7500 bathroom remodel which you will be billed for accordingly."

Vinyl Siding - Install or Completely Replace
Yes, I recommend this pro
NPS and James were a dream to work with. First of all he was the only contractor to call me back asking if I was going to have them do the work on my siding replacement. Second of all I mistakenly had someone different do my roof and caused all kinds of issues. Yet they were flexible, understanding and great through the entire project. Third issue was a bunch of extra work needed after the work began and despite multiple days of extra labor they didnâ t gouge me on price increasing it like they could have. If you want the best deal around, killer service and a great contact to make sure it goes smoothly. Hire NPS and let James take care of you!

First I hired NPS with a little bit of concern, since this is the first time I was hiring through HomeAdvisor and I did not know NPS at all. They came in on time and completed the job professionally. I asked for some changes outside the original scope of the work, and they address them for me. They have nice customer service too. I am now working with them to do some follow up work in my place. I trust NPS Sales with my home projects, and I recommend them to others.

Craftmanship is wonderful, but the communication is poor. the customer has to reach out about scheduling construction times. The time estimated by the owner is not what the actual contractors would estimate for the time needed to get the work done. if you can handle the pain of long wait times for completing work in progress in order to get quality craftsmanship and affordable prices, then they're a great choice.
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"Jaclyn, I apologize for the time it took to install your windows. I had to work you into my schedule which I discussed before hand and you stated there was a timetable to get it done but then there was one. Had I known you wanted it completed sooner, I would have passed on the job as we are extremely busy at this time. Many customers have their projects planned and set from winter to early spring. When someone calls us we always try to accommodate you to acquire a new customer but sometimes we just say no if you're not flexible during these busy months."

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
Yes, I recommend this pro
Best if price AND schedule of completion are agreed upon before starting - especially during the busy season.
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"I am happy you're pleased with the finished product. This was a complete remodel of your basement 1600 sqft of new porcelain tile, plumbing for bathroom, drywall, and a full paint job including painting the doors to every room in the basement. It was definitely time consuming taking a full month to complete."

Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
Hired to do a large remodeling job. Owner James stated he would be about to complete before Memorial Day and as I am a retired disabled veteran this was very important to me. I provided all materials as requested, I gave a key for them to have access any time, as I was told they will work at my house project after other jobs to ensure completion. The workers who came had nothing good to say about working for James through NPS sales. Only two of the people who showed up knew how to do the job they were there to do. Hang drywall, hang a door, build a short half wall. The work started great. I ordered a dumpster, they came in demolished 80 percent of the house so that all the rebuild was ready. Then they vanished for 2 weeks. When asked what was going on, I was told that they are on schedule and will complete the job on time, to finish by Memorial Day. Two weeks come and go and still, no one has done any work. I contacted them repeatedly, asked for clarification on the project agreement and again if they were on schedule. I tried to contact Hom Advisor, as they are the lead originators, and they said once hired it is between contractor and owner to figure out timelines. Paying half of the agreed-upon price upfront they somehow went through all their billable hours well before even half the job was completed. They threw away hardwood flooring into a dumpster full of water, left if there for 3 days and when I asked what was going on with this, they said it was an oversight and they knew I was saving it to install in a different room. I was told to go ahead and get new wood, my guys knew you were saving that wood. We will cover the cost. I then ordered new hardwood, and then I get told that the hardwood was pulled back out because they took it to a specialist and said it was fine to use and they did not want to pay for the new wood. I was told by James if it is because the wood was in the dumpster and it is a principal thing than maybe we should reconsider the entire job. This is 3 days before the deadline of Memorial Day. Memorial Day came and went, and the house stayed incomplete, still to this day, when I asked when it will be finished James I will try to finish your project as fast and safe as I can but I am not going to lose another worker. The lost worker was because the worker quit working for James. After all, he did not pay for all the hours James hired him to work, would pull him from job sites, and have him relocate without paying gas money, and he told me directly he was done working for James. Not only did the job not get completed, my key, that James took the initiative to make copies of and pass out to his workers who are quitting on him, but also did not return the keys, did not tell me they would not be coming back, did not say anything just and still have not said anything to me or apologized for not meeting the deadline James agreed to. His workers apologized for not being about to finish or to stay later but they know they would not be compensated to stay. HomeAdvisor and other websites all have horrible reviews for this company and I will be leaving this same review for each of them. Seeing that other people had to contact lawyers to force James to bring an honest man is just awful. When anyone hires someone to come into their home, give them all the courtesy and respect that any person deserves, and then they throw it back at you, disrespect you and destroy your home should just hang their hat up and close shop because they do not know what they are doing.
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"The last line of this rant suggests that we (NPS) "hang up our hats and close shop because we do not know what we are doing." I believe the 20+ 5 Star Reviews on this SITE would beg to differ. Tyler, If I may remind you, we originally had a date set in stone to begin work and as you stated, "money wasn't an option." Then, like most, it is exactly that (an option). You delayed, and delayed, due to the negotiating as you specifically wanted to go with our company. (Why is that?) Secondly, sir, after we marked out our start date, your entire family became quarantined and your young son fell ill and the job was canceled although you were not currently living in the home that the work was going to occur in. Another job was moved into your spot and you contacted me even later to ask to get back on the schedule and to also try to keep the same completion date 2 weeks after we missed the initial start date. I told you I would try to accommodate you as much as possible and also that we would work a few nights to try to get the project back on schedule, (WHICH WE DID). I had 2 guys in your home laying new tile at 2:00 AM (wHAT COMPANY DOES THAT??) I did that for you. We often worked in your home until 9:00-10:00 PM Yes, I did have a guy quit because I had him working late hours at your house! How are you going to try to make this a negative on my part when this benefited you. You know what, construction is a revolving door Tyler, people come and go all the time. That happens to be why that guy quit. But guess what, he begged to come back 3 weeks later and I said no. You know what, I'm not going to entertain this at all. It's unfortunate that people get to write whatever they want on a computer in this day and age. You acted like a jerk most of the time and was not easy to deal with. It was like you forgot that YOU changed the start date on the US and I still tried to work with you. We didn't finish because I no longer wanted to work with you on this project. We quit. Plain and simple. Left money on the table because I did not like how you were speaking to me and my guys. You're unhappy, and that's your problem, not mine. You treated my crew like they were behind the entire time when you are the person that put the entire project behind from the beginning."

Bathroom - Remodel
not professional at all. kept leaving job to work on other job although advised them I need project finished due to husband's disability. Caused damage to washing machine in moving it and as of this date has not paid for that. When I complained was very rude. Had to talk to attorney to get things done.
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"I worked this job into my schedule as the client expressed that she needed the work done to assist her ailing husband. We were very cordial and professional as the customer often weeped on our shoulders during this trying time. I extended services free of charge to them as they were pastors and I am a man of faith. I am disheartened that you would leave a review that is this unfair to the services we extended to you. I gave you a $2,200 discount solely based on your health situations. This unfairness makes it hard for me to do this for others."

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Spend the extra money for an actual professional, had them install a fence and it turned out horrible, when I confronted them, I was told that it was installed by guys learning with no supervision. Paid for a professional fence, got a training fence. Crocked, not level, or was not even done at night, as we asked for, different levels of fence, and not size gates agreed on, horrible service. Save your self the headache! UPDATE 6/5/2020: DONT HIRE. Horrible work, had them install a chain-link fence, not straight, or level, fencing not even attached to top rail at some points, gates were installed with the wrong size, one was upside down and backward. When confronted, they told me guys are in training, and with no supervision, so I got a training fence not a professional fence. Save your self the headache.
Response from Next Level Roofing & Construction, LLC
"Ok, where to begin. You hired us. Gave you an estimate. We agreed upon terms. Showed up to work, and things went downhill from there as soon as you laid eyes on 2 of my workers who were of Hispanic origin. You complained throughout the entire process when we were nowhere near completion. I directed you to look at my ratings for fences that were 5 STAR but you were impossible to deal with. You were told upfront that you do not pay fully until the job meets your satisfaction; however, all you did was complain about silly things. Everything was changed to meet your requests. I told you we were TRAINING someone new and he was still learning. You took that and ran with it to request a refund for 100% of the labor after 95% of fencing was done for you. I gave you a great deal to begin with and you ended up being a horrible customer. This is TRUE, not retaliatory at all. I gave you a refund of $600 when there was only $200 worth of work needed to complete the job. You wanted $1000. I refused and then I got your unjust and unfair review. You basically tried to extort me and I said NO!"
