Nick built our deck. We were happy at first but other learned his team had cut a water line while digging and never told us and cemented over it. I let Nick know. He said hed try to help me out if he ?could?. I contacted him later to let him know the cost of contractors coming to repair it. He ignored all my calls. Overall disappointed in the ethics and lack of integrity.

Nick and his team were fast, quality work and reasonable cost

Nick replaced our old wooden deck with a screen porch and it turned out perfect. He used quality materials and was super easy to work with. I'm confident he could build any deck/screen porch you can imagine. The best part is he charges quite a bit less than other companies!

Nick and his crew were amazing on this project. They added a 22' x 12' deck on the back of our home and it only took them 3 days! Process was super simple, Nick came by and figured out what our wants and needs were. Within a few days drew it up, and provided the documents we needed for the HOA. He also took care of the permit and inspection. We put down our deposit and the materials were delivered right to our yard. Nick showed up the next morning and got started. The deck feels and looks amazing. I would 100% recommend Nick to anyone looking to add something new they will love to their home.

We hired Nick to build a composite deck extension to our existing deck. The work was quality and we were satisfied with the results and service to date. Months later the city called to notify us that there was not an inspection performed basis the permit pulled for this work. While this should have been taken care of by Nick right after construction, I fielded the inspection gathering the appropriate paperwork. The inspection ultimately failed due to work not performed to code. When we notified Nick he offered make the fix however with cheap material that would not match the existing work. When asked to using matching material which cost $15 more he pushed back and told us to buy it ourselves (which we ultimately did) and he would reimburse us. He came to apply the fix, never notified us he was done or offered us to see the work which ultimately looked shoddy. He never reimbursed us for the material nor have we heard back from him since. An unfortunate conclusion to what was until then a good experience.

Nick did some great work on our new composite deck. He is prompt with communication and is patient answering all questions. He worked around changing specs and got everything completed as expected. We're already considering hiring him for our next big project. We would also recommend him to any friends or family.

We ended up doing a no maintenance deck and are thrilled with the look. Nick and his team did a great job.

I found Nick (Nick Holker Construction) through Home Advisor and of the handful of bids we got to finish our basement, we decided to hire Nick. I was acting as the general contractor and would be doing some of the work myself, but I had Nick do the framing, doors, and trim. From the beginning of the project to the very end, Nick was always professional, on time, accommodating, fairly priced and did excellent work. I would have absolutely no problem hiring Nick again!!

Nick and his crew did a great job on our new cedar deck! Not only was the project completed on time as quoted (3 days), but it was also the most reasonable bid we received in St. Cloud (1/2 the price of one bid). They did everything from replacing our old ledger board, dug and poured concrete footings, and built the entire 14' x 14' deck, 8' above ground with a staircase. The black aluminum balusters he included look amazing with the light colored cedar. I would highly recommend Nick Holker Construction for a deck project!

Nick was my 3rd contractor that I had give me a quote to build my deck. He was honest and answered my "girly' questions very well. He worked hard to keep my project right on budget. We had our deck built June 2013 ( I am just now getting around to writing the review) and we could not be more pleased. I even had a issue just recently called Nick and he took care of it right away. I have recommended him to 2 other families in my neighborhood because of his work ethic and quality of work. My family and I LOVE our deck. We just got to staining it this year and it is a beautiful accent to our property. Please consider him for your next project you will not be disappointed.
