Not the greatest experience. Hired Nicks to install dual-head mini split. I got a great price, but I guess it is my fault for accepting the lowest bid. You get what you pay for. (1) Communication was next to nonexistent. The job was supposed to take 2 days, and although I wasnâ t living in the house at the time, it wound up being a 6 day job. There was no communication whatsoever as to the progress along the way. I was constantly in a position of feeling like I was bothering Dan by merely asking for an update. (2) Work ethic was questionable. They would come for 2 hours at a time, putz around a bit, and then leave. (3) I feel like I was in a bait-and-switch situation. Dan is the one who upsold me on the 2-head unit, but when it came time for install he told me it would be an extra $500 to run the wires through the attic. I mean, heâ s already there 3-days in, what choice did I have?! We had an agreement, but I guess Dan can modify that whenever. (4) In addition to charging me extra for running wires through the attic, he made my contractor cut another crawl space in my closet ONLY BECAUSE HE DIDNâ T FEEL LIKE CRAWLING FROM THE EXISTING CRAWLSPACE IN THE GARAGE! Again, you get what you pay for. (5) Quality was subpar. The line set to the condenser on the exterior of the house looks atrocious. Iâ m not talking about the one he left uncovered, Iâ m talking about the aborted attempt to put the covering on the 18k btu line. OMG. (6) I almost forgot, I originally wanted a 12k btu head in the back room. Dan convinced me to go higher and get a dual-head, but without telling me he installed a much lower powered 9k btu head in that area. Now the room is under powered.

A day and a half, an hour and half, I am backing up and running. saved over 1,000.00. I couldn't be more grateful to this amazing team. They are the Best!!

Dan from Nicks air-conditioning and heat, was informative and helpful and he very quickly calmed my worries. He was able to get cool air back in the house very quickly on one of the hottest days of the year. He was personable, and he explained what he was doing while he was doing it. If you were looking for someone that you could trust to deal with your AC problem, I urge you to call Dan at Nicks air conditioning and heat. Youâ ll be happier and cooler sooner.

First, during the initial installation, the water pump was determined to be bad. The install guy was not sure of proper wiring and needed to get a new one, I am not sure but I think the bad wiring was the cause. After he installed the second water pump by the second-day water was dripping on our floor. He stopped again to fix it. Two days later we had the water dripping in three different spots. Being A holiday, memorial day. I will call again tomorrow to attempt to get it fixed. I am at my wits end!

Gino does great work. He did a great job installing our new unit. He is knowledgeable and explained everything. I hired him over a very large company because they failed to explain like he did. We are very happy with our new unit. He also didnâ t waste our money on things we didnâ t need.

Great guy , explained all aspects of the job and priced additional items for a install to another room.

came same day and got my struggling a/c to come back strong with helpful explanation of how long this fix on my 20+ year old system might last so I can budget for the new one that i will need sooner, hopefully later.
