Nick's Eastside Landscaping & Maintenance, LLC

In December 2019 since we had been away from the house since June 2019, I hired Eastside based on good reviews on Home Advisor to winterize my system. I paid $100 for the service. Imagine my surprise when I got a call in January 2020 from the City of Redmond Water Utility warning me of extremely high usage. The City sent out a service tech who found no problems at the street or the meter but turned off the meter. My son-in-law went to the house to find 2 outside spigots not tightly turned off. He did so. I reported this to Nicks Eastside, they called to tell me there was nothing wrong. My son in law followed up to find they had taken apart the spigots and had left the parts unasembled. Nick told me it was raining that day and they decided not to put it together until spring. They then called me to say 3 reasons why the $2,000.00 bill could not possibly have been caused by Eastside. My plumbing company suggested I use a special service for leaks, which guarantees to locate ANY leaks. My son-in-law met the leaks tech only to find absolutely no leaks inside or out, guaranteed. From June to January the water bills had been very low since no one was living in the house. All the evidence points to the fact that Eastside did indeed leave spigots slightly open and then parts laid out near the spigot after they came to check... They did NOT even put the spigot back together. That leaking water and poor service cost me $3,000 in wasted precious water. Since the elak technician found nothing, our water bills have returned down to pre-winterization levels.

What a pleasant surprise I had today when I called for some sprinkler help and was greeted by Jose with his happy voice eagerness to help. He arrived later and was even nicer than I expected. He solved my problem easily and quickly and then recommended a rain sensor to help save on water. He is coming back later to install it ( he didn't have one on his truck ). The guys did en excellent job and in a quick, efficient timeline.

Nick gave us a quote over the phone and when we went to pay, the gentleman that was working the job informed us that they cost was $140 more!! Nick seems very nice, but there was a complete disconnect with the team working. We were quoted $225 for 3 hours and $55/hour after that. (I.e. 4 hours should equal $280). (Nick viewed the house and thought that should be fine). The team was there for 4 hours and we went to pay and the guy managing the job charged us $255 for the base rate and tried to charge us $55/hour for EACH of the 3 workers ($255+$165=$420). Needless to say, we were not happy, but conceded and paid $365 for 4 hours. It was not a good experience.

Fast, efficient and friendly service!

Even though I called late in the season, they were able to come install my lights within two days of my call. Nigel did the work and was very professional, courteous and friendly. He was very creative in figuring out how to work all the lights and extension cords with the outlets that I had and not overloading anything. I am very pleased. I don't want to take the lights down now!

The gentleman who came out (Wes ) was very pleasant and friendly. He installed lights on a 35 foot evergreen in the rain and finished with in 3 hours. The tree looks great ! Would recommend him for any job. Thanks Wes

Had them come and hang my lights and do gutters. Great job on the gutters. Very disappointed on the lights though. I have a 2 story house. Portions of the house that I wanted lights they were unable/willing to do They only hung lights on my gutters because they said they could not get on the roof, which I could've done myself with a ladder.

Did the 60 foot tree for my neighbor and celebrated by the entire neighborhood. Did a good job and my neighbor was pleased.

Expert demolition, construction and carpentry work! Once basic structure was complete, however, it took months for them to haul final load of debris and do finish work.

Pleased with the company to begin with, received a quote and the staff seemed friendly. Throughout the job, communication was poor and in the end the job was 15% higher than the original quote. Would not use this company again.
