My wooden door jamb was scratched and the adjacent weatherstripping was damaged during the installation of my lock. I sent photos to the installer and he denied doing the damage and cursed me. In addition, he never gave me an estimate before starting the job- as I requested several times. The price of the installation was more than I expected for a 30 minute job ($405). To be fair, the lock works fine.
The provider did not give an estimate before beginning work despite repeated requests. Then he damaged our door jamb and weatherstripping with his handheld drill. He charged $405 for 30 minutes of work despite telling us that the drilling cost $180 and the lock installations was $175 -a total of $355! He cursed me after I sent him pictures of the damage. I have provided photos of the damage in the attachments.
