Project: Repair a Natural Gas, Propane or Electric Fired Boiler or Radiator Heating System
Technician came out the day after calling. Needed boiler cleaned, and he did so in a timely manner. Very upfront with pricing and options.

This is the review for No Nonsense heating and cooling. I am very disappointed with this company and technician. They are very expensive and I don't think they know how to fix anything. He can out to fix my A/C. Nothing was wrong with my heater because it was just working a day prior. The tech said my control board was bad and he jumpered from the board to get the a/c working. Great but it was going to cost $$$$ me for him to do that and he would turn off my heat until he could come back out to fix it. It's a simple re-wiring, he said, he would come back out to before it got cold. Well, now the miscommunication comes in. He wanted to come out to make a list for everything wrong with my furnace. Not fix it. Then he said we can talk about what needs to be fixed. There was nothing wrong with it before he touched it. He wouldn't come back out to undo what he did to get the A/C to work. I had to call another company and they were upset because of how No Nonsense left the wires. The new tech was so angry he called his manager to tell him what he saw. Because it was a mess No nonsense ended up costing me a brand-new furnace. Please don't use them. They are very expensive and you will pay more for little work.
Response by No-Nonsense Heating and Cooling, Inc.: Mrs. U (consumer name withheld per their request) When I came out in June to get your 2 air conditioners running. Your 1 condenser came on but the blower/fan on your 22 year old furnace did not come on. Your circuit board had failed, the fan did not come on. I asked you if you wanted to replace board or temporarily wire it to run fan for a/c for the summer. You opted for temporary repair. You scheduled both for furnace inspections for early September to find out IF replacing that circuit board was worth doing. You canceled the appointment for the furnace inspections just before the scheduled appointment and just wanted me to come back out and rewire old controls back at no charge. I explained to you that controls may not not work for heating/fan either, that "it worked last winter" does not mean it will work now. I declined to rewire up a control that was faulty, "just to get you by". Also unsafe, (if burners are running and no fan, you will have problems) to run. Robert was really quick to follow up and get out to fix the problem. Only issue was that cleaning and re-lighting the pilot on a 13 year old water heater was probably not the best route. I spent $155 on his services and 3 days later had the same issue and ended up having to replace the unit.
Response by No-Nonsense Heating and Cooling, Inc.: Jennifer as I explained before doing the cleaning at your rental property, there is no guarantee on saving an older tank like that. On average at best, customers get a year out of those tanks.

I received a call from Robert barely a minute after submitting my request and he arrived within 20 minutes of speaking with him. He repaired my furnace in less than an hour a charged a reasonable rate. An overall great experience.
