I have not heard from him. I emailed him. I called him and I was always routed to voicemail so I thought he blocked me. He cashed the check. He was rude. He slammed my door. It was horrible. He was not responding. I wanted to know if he would still do it or not. I needed to know what was going so that I could hire someone if he would not do it. He was very unprofessional and nasty. He was not nice. What he only did was the recess lights and it was not even.

"Very unfortunate situation. This customer was a problem from the start. With every project we do, we give our customers a proposal with a detailed description of work. This customer everyday tried to get extra work for free. We designed and installed (15) beautiful recessed lights in her basement with (4) switches and cleaned her ceiling. The only thing we got was a deposit ( which she gave to us several days late) and it didn’t even cover the material and labor we used. Afterwards the lady tried to get us to re- wire her basement for free. Several times yelled at myself and my men. Although we patiently went over the proposal with her several times to remind her of our contract, everyday she wanted something extra and was abusive to myself and my workers. So we had to leave the project. This has never happened in the history of my company. As you can clearly see, we average 5 stars on our projects. Again very unfortunate because we gave this customer the best pricing and service in town. I guarantee that she will not find service and pricing as good as Noakes Electrical"

Noakes did a great job installing a few outlets in our detached garage. Mark and his team were easy to work with, very courteous, clean, and timely. Would recommend for work and will be using them again in the future!

Started out roughly as owner got lost ending up arriving an hour after appointment time. Asked to have one fire alarm on a very high ceiling moved down to a more manageable height for future access. He did this in the wrong room, so had to do this in a second room. Thankfully he did not charge me for that error, only charging for the correct room. He did repair the walls that were cut open to move the alarm units but still need repainting. Previous alarm installation was done incorrectly, I was not aware. Owner installed two fire alarms that blew out when installed before the incorrect wiring was identified. I was disappointed that a professional electrician would not have identified the incorrect wiring before the new units were damaged. As no additional alarms were available at this time he reinstalled the original alarms that were both chirpping when he left. I later had to purchase additional units and install myself. The new plug outlet was installed satisfactorily, but later found out that the front of the electrical panel was removed and not replaced before he left. Two ceiling lights were replaced satisfactorily. However, he complained that one had snap on plastic crystals that needed to be attached to the ceiling unit as he considered that to be a "specialty" fixture installation, with additional charges. To avoid further charges I volunteered to attach the crystals myself. All this cost me $850, while I was left with purchase and installation of two fire alarms, attachment of the electrical panel front, and delaying the installation of a replacement exterior garage light to a later date. Would not hire again, and felt overcharged.

"The customer was not clear on the scope of work. We were told to replace smoke detectors. Upon arrival we were then asked to relocate them. Customer never verified which room needed the relocation. Customer also stated that smoke detectors were working before we arrived which was not true. In order to correct the problem we had to run an extra circuit in the basement and troubleshoot all the detectors in the home which cost us time and labor, also had to cancel the other appointments we had lined up for the day We asked specifically before we came if the fixtures she ordered were specialty and if they needed to be put together. The customer told us no. When we arrived we found this was not true and the fixtures had to be decorated with crystals Lastly the house itself was EXTREMELY cluttered. There was no working room on the first floor or basement. Extremely uncomfortable for lack of better words. This also cost us time and labor as we were forced to work around the clutter Our record of reviews on Angies list, as a company, have always been 5 stars before this customer."
