"I'm so sorry to hear about this misunderstanding. All of our payment terms are at the bottom of the estimate/quote, so nothing is hidden or is a surprise to any client. We are a very small business, so we cannot wait 30, 60 or 90 days for payment. Some much larger companies can offer 30-, 60-or 90-day credit for their existing long-term customers. On a first time dealing with any client who isn't known or have never worked with, they require payment is due right after services are rendered. Once there is an ongoing regular set of transactions, credit can be offered, if the company chooses to do so. We did not have any credit terms set up with this project. We do run our business like any other business; something is purchased now; payment is due now. If for an extreme reason a client can't pay immediately, we give them 5 days to process payment. We charge a late fee if it's not processed. Once again, this is at the bottom of our terms and conditions at the first point of contact when the estimate is given. Nothing is a surprise."
