I agree with the previous rating entirely. The most frustrating part was discovering that I could not believe anything the owner said. He complained that we were too present, but we had to be because nearly everything was as poor a quality as we would accept. He terminated the contract early because we were such a bother, but we were also writing termination notice because we needed to stop the bleeding. Too many things needed to be re-done (interior paint, excavation around the property, rock work, deck, some plumbing and he was pressuring us for final payments (we were at 75% to full on all subs) when work was not even close to complete. In the end we had paid for much that will not be provided according to the original and termination contract, but we are hiring subs ourselves now and extremely happy with the quality, timeliness, and honesty of the subs we are hiring ourselves. North Country Construction, Jacob Ricker, should not be in business as a custom home contractor.

He lied throughout the process. Did not complete the job. Way too many mistakes. I would not recommend building a dog house.
