Groundhog Grading

We chose this company because of the reviews. Paid over $11,000 and still ended up with unfinished grading, high-risk tree work, cleanup, seeding, etc. The contractor repeatedly tried to change the scope, made multiple FAILED ATTEMPTS to UP-CHARGE for work already included, and consistently failed to follow through. We hired him in early October 2025 and gave him a Thanksgiving deadline, which he agreed to. When he thought we hadnt fully moved onto the property, he never showed up and our security cameras confirmed no activity. He later admitted he only sparingly put seeds down, which was shocking. He blamed weather, then claimed his tools were being borrowed. He even said giving him a deadline was rude. Had he said he couldnt commit, we never would have paid him. Unreliable, unprofessional, and deceitful. At the end of the day, he got paid for work he had no intention of completing. Thats the bottom line!

Tom was very prompt in getting my project done. We used blacktop fillings to fix my drainage problem and give me an extra parking spot. Tom called me after it rained to see how this project was. It improved my drainage problem greatly.

Fair pricing and a very reliable company.

I had a sink hole occurring in an area connecting to my asphalt drive. Tom came out and assessed the problem. He was very knowledgeable about water run off. He explained what was going on and how the problem occurred. Tom did everything he said he would and showed up when he said he would. He communicated with me through the entire process. I would definitely recommend Groundhog Grading to anyone dealing problems of this nature. To sum it up, he was trustworthy, reliable, and reasonable. Thank you Tom.

We had a driveway project that needed to be addressed in order to sell our home. Tom came right out and spent time thinking through several options to repair based on how much money we wanted to invest. Tom sent me 3 quotes for all of the options and included details for each and even listed materials. From the very beginning, Tom has been professional and his communication has been excellent. I had a deck i tore down and wanted to make an extra parking space, and then we talked about the drainage problems I had. He used Black t op fillings and packed it in, all around the house and sloped it so water would go away from house. I was very pleased with this. 2 days after completion he called me to see how it was after it rained, and it was a 90% improvement from what I had before.

I hired them to some cleanup from Helene and I was so impressed with their preformance and the price of their estimate . They worked non stop for days working with me to complete the project. These gentlemen were very understanding, patience and considerate. The job was done professionally and beyond my expectations. I will definitely hire them in the future.
