DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are a complete scam and should be removed from Home Advisor immediately. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life. First, the owner, Rebekah Dunbar is not a contractor and knows nothing about construction. The business is run by Nicholas Hesse. A quick google search will show his lengthy criminal history-- drugs, DUI, hit and run, forgery, and theft (grand larceny). He bounces around the country frequently creating new businesses to hide his shady practices. His bid was in the middle of the three bids we received. Then, the work began. It was shoddy at best and he aggressively demanded thousands of dollars each time that we met. He did not abide by the payment terms listed in the contract. Unfortunately we made the mistake of accommodating his request to move up the payment schedule. All of this is 100% documented. The work can be described as follows: - The floors were drastically sloped with soft spots all over. - The doors were installed without the shims so the framing is bowed, not level, and the doors do not open or close properly. - The single worst paint job I have ever seen. They didn't repair a single hole in the wall, painted over nails, there was paint sprayed all over our belongings -The texture on the walls and ceilings were done wrong, and there was overspray all over everything. We had a professional drywaller confirm that their skip trowel "fix" made it even worse, it is so thick and sloppy that it will cost more to get it to the original state. -The tile they installed on the bathroom walls was done improperly. There is mastic coming through where the grout goes and needs to be redone. -The concrete installed in the shower pan is rough and not smooth so that you can tile it. It was poured above the drain line and would cause multiple flooding issues. -The installed backer board for the shower is on the studs rather than on top of plywood. There is no way that you can put tile over it. -They damaged the bathrooms so badly that the people who live below us had damage to their property. Their demeanor was even worse. When I went with Rebekah to pick out the tile for the backsplash, Nick immediately called to say we could no longer get the tile specified in the contract. When I pushed back, he said "Again I am not going back-and-forth about this if you would like You can have your husband call me and I will explain it to him since obviously you don't understand" Then the work stopped. The subcontractors pulled their tools and our place was a mess. We notified them we were having an inspector/project manager
