Derick and his crew did a great job removing the top portion of my chimney that was crumbling and rebuilding it. The job was completed in one day. It is hard to overstate the excellent work I had done via Northern Grey Masonry and in particular its owner/principal, Derek Waters. We had an exterior front staircase leading to our front door. Derek was a last minute 3rd bid I almost did as an afterthought and he knocked me off my feet. He immediately gave me several major and very thoughtful redesign tips and helped expand our project signficantly for the better in an affordable way that turned our staircase rebuild into an absolute showpiece. He was comfortable talking to both me and my wife and even spent hours with us in a quarry rethinking stone choices. He was flexible with design and always picked up the phone on the first ring for when we called. We ended up with a stairway that turned an unplanned emergency project into the envy of the neighborhood. He works with his father, also a master mason whose decades of experience added even further to this perfect project. I truly could not recommend him more.

Derek was professional, punctual, and offered a fair price for the work. He took the time to inspect my chimney with his drone and shared detailed photos, clearly explaining the areas of the stonework that needed attention. The quality of his work was excellent, and he left the area so clean you could hardly tell he had been there; except for the beautiful new chimney cap. I highly recommend Derek for anyone looking for honest, skilled, and reliable chimney work.
