Northern Grey Masonry

You can't go wrong hiring Derek, at Northern Grey Masonery. I received 2 quotes on my project. One was just for a cement slab and the other was for installing pavers. His prices were very competitive. I chose the pavers as my option. Derek, was able to get my job scheduled earlier, which who would be happy. The work was completed in 3 days. His personality and work ethic really made him stand out in in my hiring decision. You won't be disappointed hiring Northern Grey Masonery. Thank you Derek.

Owner of Northern Gray Masonry Derek Waters was asked to spec out a rebuild of a retaining wall between my home and garage that could safely be estimated at 80+ years old. He quoted a price that I feared was a red flag because it was so reasonable. Turns out that this crew had the skill to utilize the stone onsite and with that they created a beautiful new wall that not only stands out on our road now but meets all of the load and drainage requirements we were missing in the old one. The work site was kept neat and clean throughout the project, my texts and calls were answered promptly by Derek. Every time. I was always informed when they were arriving and his crew of master masons were kind, professional and focused throughout the job- which was completed ahead of schedule. I have never been so eager to write a review. Thanks so much Northern Gray! We have already been asked for your info!

I wanted a concrete patio installed and Derek gave the best quote. Then I saw on his truck that he also did chimney work. I did need a new chimney crown so i asked if he could take a look at that also. He quickly got out his little drone, got some pictures and showed me the work needed. With a good quote on that, I hired him for that work as well. The day of the job, the Concrete contractor delivered the minimum of 5 yards of concrete, but I only needed 3 for the patio. Derek and his crew looked at my shabby front walkway and offered to do that with the extra concrete for a fair price. So Derek and his crew worked hard to do chimney repair, patio installation, walkway installation all in one day. They worked hard and did excellent work on everything. I am very happy with the job well done and I highly recommend Derek and his crew for great work

Derek was friendly and professional throughout the entire process of the estimate and the work itself. He was punctual and honest about the state of our chimney. The cost was fair in comparison to other companies we looked into. They were accommodating to our timeline, especially because we have a leak. Thankfully we just needed tuck pointing and crown repair. They left the area immaculate after the staging was taken down. I will have Northern Grey Masonry come back for our fieldstone basement.

Beautiful rebuild of my chimney , a work of art, I love my chimney , very nice professional work, I will definitely call them back for more projects. Very happy customer!

We are very happy with their work and they did a great job as well with the cleanup

Derick and his crew did a great job removing the top portion of my chimney that was crumbling and rebuilding it. The job was completed in one day. Derick is easy to work with and gave us the custom chimney we discussed with him. I highly recommend getting a quote for your project from Northern Grey Masonry.

Derek Waters and his crew of newly formed Northern Grey Masonry did a great job putting in a small retaining wall at the side of our house. Their many years of experience was clearly evident. Prompt, courteous and professional all the way. We will be using them again!

It is hard to overstate the excellent work I had done via Northern Grey Masonry and in particular its owner/principal, Derek Waters. We had an exterior front staircase leading to our front door. Derek was a last minute 3rd bid I almost did as an afterthought and he knocked me off my feet. He immediately gave me several major and very thoughtful redesign tips and helped expand our project signficantly for the better in an affordable way that turned our staircase rebuild into an absolute showpiece. He was comfortable talking to both me and my wife and even spent hours with us in a quarry rethinking stone choices. He was flexible with design and always picked up the phone on the first ring for when we called. We ended up with a stairway that turned an unplanned emergency project into the envy of the neighborhood. He works with his father, also a master mason whose decades of experience added even further to this perfect project. I truly could not recommend him more.

Derek was professional, punctual, and offered a fair price for the work. He took the time to inspect my chimney with his drone and shared detailed photos, clearly explaining the areas of the stonework that needed attention. The quality of his work was excellent, and he left the area so clean you could hardly tell he had been there; except for the beautiful new chimney cap. I highly recommend Derek for anyone looking for honest, skilled, and reliable chimney work.

Derek was very upfront with explaining everything he would be doing, how much it would be, and what to expect. The end result was amazing. He is very personable, and trustworthy, and I would not hesitate to refer him to friends or use him again in the future.

I couldn't be any happier with how my patio turned out. Just beautiful! The time frame I was promised was met without any delays. They were very knowledgeable in explaining what and how things needed to be done to bring my vision to life. They took care in cleaning up when they were done. Excellent pricing for quality work. A couple of times I reached out to ask a question and my call was returned within a short period of time. I can't imagine someone being disappointed hiring them.
