Jason spent an hour looking over my house with me, drilling several holes to see the existing situation (and neatly covering them after): He found my walls had been filled probably several decades ago with fiberglass blown-in insulation. It had settled and wasn't super tight, but his judgement was that it did 3/4 or more of the insulating that could be done and further insulating in walls wasn't necessary, effective, or cost efficient. Then he showed me in basement where I myself could easily foam-seal sill to lumber (ends of floor beams, resting on the sill, where outside air was getting in) using a home depot product, and several other such thorough useful suggestions. From this unusual angle, I very strongly recommend Northern Insulation as a very unusually reliable company to work with.
