Mark took one look at our yard and immediately started sketching ideas for the four problem areas. We agreed to almost everything. Mark purchases the flowers/bushes, so be sure he writes down your color preferences. Once he and his crew started working, they were fast and professional. Everyone was very friendly. As work progressed, Mark was flexible about the changes we asked for--such as moving a boulder three inches--to make us happy. The new landscaping has truly enhanced our property. There is no way we could have done the work ourselves, let alone come up with the design ideas. We would definitely hire Northern Landscapes again.

Mark designed and constructed a patio system with high quality pavers and flagstones for our new lakefront house. When he first came to inspect the site, we had some basic ideas that would have been very ordinary. Mark let us talk it through, then he made a couple of suggestions on a potential design. The thing is, the guy has a fine art degree and he grew up on a commercial tree farm. So he was able to visualize a solution with the eye of an artist or an architect, and deliver the goods with the hand of a craftsman. Highly recommended.

I have with contracted with Northern Landscapes annually for four years to construct hillside gardens, do lawn and yard care, and assist in planting an apple orchard. The company is built on a reputation of achieving customer satisfaction. The quality of the work is unsurpassed in the Upper Peninsula. I highly recommend them.

We booked Northern Landscapes for our stone walkway, steps, retaining wall and a custom driveway light structure. Although our project began weeks later than originally quoted, once started, Mark and his crew stayed on task for the whole project. They worked longer and harder than expected and completed the full project in a timely matter. Mark was onsite often and checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied with quality of the products and workmanship.
