This company is a complete scam. I hired them for a roof replacement paid a deposit and disappeared. Unless you want to go to small claims court stay away from this company and Peter Evans. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM STAY AWAY

Right away there were major issues with the quality of work performed and the professional manner of the crew and contractor Peter J. Evins at Northstar. Almost immediately it was evident that the crew that was working on my property was not a professional crew with workers showing up on more than one occasion with an underage minor climbing on the roof with his father, crew drinking beers during lunch periods then returning to work on the roof, drinking beer after the work in my backyard on site, As a licensed contractor Peter and Northstar should have had a person onsite to supervise and their employees workmanship and behavior. The crew was called to redo or correct work they Completed during every step of the installation process. The contractor was also not on site supervising the work even after requesting his presents on site and to verify the quality of the work of his crew several times. Contractor failed to be present on site during work or review any of the crews work until we, as clients, called or texted pictures of our complaints. I regret ever hiring this company. Having to have daily check-ins with the company in order for the work to be done correctly should not be an expectation, nor was it our responsibility. The lack of transparency, failure to oversee the quality and procedural correctness of the project, the unprofessional-ism of the foreman and crew members, as well as the ethical deficiency to not cut corners has resulted in poor quality work and the irreversible damage to this companys reputation.

Lack of response and no follow through

This was a painful experience. Work started in Oct and finally finished in Jan just to replace a chimney pan. We were told we need not only a new pan, but a chimney cap as well. When the chimney pan was replaced, the owner was here and the worker said where is the new chimney cap. This was never ordered, so they put the old cap back on, (they did take the cost of the quote) so there was nothing wrong with it to start with. The pan did not fit as well as the old one, so they could not replace the facier boards that were removed. The owner said they would paint it for an additional charge. Finally, a painter came out the beginning of Jan and painted. The office staff, especially Dasheil was very rude most of the time I called. She kept saying how busy they are, which is great, however, that is not a customers problem. I definitely would not use them or recommend them to anyone.

Great customer service. They were able to come a little early and my house was spotless when they left.

Out technician did not take the time to discuss his evaluation form, which was very difficult to read as a carbon copy. He left the flume lever in he closed position, which filled the house with smoke when we lit a fire that evening. It seemed like he was in a hurry to get to his next assignment. The estimated cost of repairs was outrageously high, by a factor of 2-3
