A company you can count on. Very high integrity. The owner is outstanding and maintains a high level of excellence. They did excellent work cleaning our flue and gas fireplace logs and burners. Wow it looks better than new and works perfectly now. Superb work. If you have a gas fireplace have them clean it or if you want a new one these are the folks to call.

Initially rated them higher for the chimney cleaning and inspection. The technician was competent and diligent. The scheduling of the work required a couple follow-up emails, but eventually connected. With the colder weather, I was preparing to use the fireplace and discovered all the ash and sand set-up for the gas fireplace was removed as part of the cleaning. This was not at all expected. I emailed them a letter with my dissatisfaction and costs to replace. It was forwarded to management. two months have passed with no follow-up. This is unacceptable customer service. I had to replace the fireplace setting which are typical for a gas fireplace. How could they not know this was not to be removed. My expectation was the primarily cleaned the flute. There was no log ask to clean and remove. We haven't used logs in twenty years. Prior to this discovery I inquired about additional work, and again lackluster follow-up. I was told they were awaiting confirmation from carpentry department for scheduling of other work. After weeks of me following up, I decided to issue a new and separate request of vendors. Very disappointing with the lack of follow-up and customer service!

The service guys were fantastic, polite, professional, very quick. The cost however was not worth the service in terms of time and work involved. There was no follow up on a broken flue to be fixed even after I called twice to ask what the status was to get it taken care of. It's been. It's been three weeks and I still have a broken flue which was the main reason I had called.

The service was good and professional. Booking was easy. However, what I got for the price of inspection was a quick 10-15 minute run through. Fortunately everything was good and they didn't need to clean much (just moved into this house). But yeah, really expensive service for such a basic thing was the only unfortunate aspect. They found some cracks that should be repaired and quoted a very high price. Think I'd prefer to shop around a bit further for that work.

Northstar Restoration did a fantastic job for our two fireplaces/chimneys. Peter is prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The staff is prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The work was performed on time, neatly, and expertly. Would hire them again and recommend them highly.

Very quick and polite. Didn’t have booties to cover shoes. Not thorough on inspection paperwork. Otherwise, did a great job and would use them again!

The tech arrived 45 minutes late to the appointment. He didn't seem prepared, as he had to leave to purchase the chimney flue, and asked to borrow a step ladder. Otherwise, he was professional and competent.

Communication between office and technician in field was poor. Technician didn't show up for appointment, I'd call office, then wait for a day to find out reason (?) for no show. I'd make another appointment, then no show or 4 hour delay. This went on, over and over for MONTHS!
