Sunny and his family were wonderful to work with, he s warm, friendly, reliable, and professional. Work done concrete pad for my husband grill, repaved driveway, install stack wall for our garden. Prices are great , he works with you, gives suggestions that makes sense, he definitely knows what he s s doing, I would recommend him any day of the week.

I plan on hiring them for my next Concrete Project. That should say it all

I had the unfortunate experience of receiving a notice of sidewalk violation from the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) on 10/16/19 for having 116 feet of damaged concrete sidewalk that included broken slabs, trip hazards, improper slope and patchwork, in front of my house. I was rather upset by the high cost of most estimates I received. In frustration I contacted Home Advisor.Com for the first time. As a result I received a phone call from Tarsem Singh (Sunny) the owner of Novelty Construction Company who asked for a copy of the DOT PIR (Preliminary notice of inspection, which is the DOT description of damage). Sunny immediately phoned me back with a price, significantly lower than my other estimates and emailed a succinct contract Indicating he would remove and replace the damaged concrete with 4 inches of 4000PSI concrete, obtain the DOT permit with a guarantee that he would fix at no additional cost if the if the DOT did not approve of his work. I did not know this gentleman and had no personal recommendations about his work. Nevertheless, I chose him , not just he had the lowest price, but due to his calm, confident, trustworthy manner. It also helped that Home Advisor checked he was licensed and insured., and that there were many excellent reviews of his work on Home Advisor.com. After Sunny ,his brother and one other gentleman removed the damaged concrete, and placed reinforcement concrete wire over the walkway a commercial cement truck arrived to deliver the concrete, which Sunny paid for our of his own pocket. Sunny did not ask for payment until the job was completed. My wife and I are very pleased by his excellent workmanship. Sunny advised me to immediately call 311 to dismiss the violation from the DOT. Finally, after 46 days DOT came by to inspect the work. 12 days later I received a sidewalk dismissal inspection notice indicating that Sunny's work passed inspection. and that the violation will be removed from the Queens County Clerks records. I would highly recommend Sunny if you need any concrete work done on your property. Note, the long delays for the violation dismissal had nothing to do with Novelty Construction but were due to DOT being very back up with their work.

Communication throughout the project, on time, and professional. They are lined up for my next project.

Had a sidewalk replaced last month job was completed as promised. They were punctual and professional, totally satisfied with the quality of the work, would use them again for any future projects. Neighbors came by and contracted them after viewing the work they did. Mr Singh was very pleasant answered all my questions ,obtained the necessary permit needed and left the site clean. Would recommend to anyone A++ price was very reasonable /all work completed in a day

Mr Singh and his crew did excellent work, very courteous and professional. Although not the highest bidder or lowest bidder for the project but they did not disappoint. They showed up on time, did the work on time and cleaned up after the job had been done. Even my neighbors would like to use them for their next projects. The steps are a beauty to behold and the driveway is just great looking. I will gladly recommend them to anyone. Job well done.

I would definitely recommend Novelty. I am very happy with the masonry brick and granite porch and yard steps built by Mr Singh and crew. The work took two days.

This company is not professional. Lack of communication, not showing up on date specified. When they showed up finally, they made a mess of my driveway, filthied up my new fence and yard; left trash a pail of concrete that I couldn't lift. Not recommending to anyone.

after considering about 8 companiea, I decided to go with this one. they weren't the cheapest nor were they the most expensive, but i believe you get what you pay for. I am super happy with my driveway.

Singh, one of the company partners, was kind and courteous. He had difficulties following through with completing the work because of inconsistent workers or workers that didn't show up when he expected them to. The brick work that was done was of professional quality. I was disappointed and frustrated by problems with communication later in the project that led me to hire someone else to complete the last leg of the work.

SERVICE WAS VERY FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL. WILL BE CALLING THEM BACK FOR OTHER WORK.
