Write a ReviewOur countertop consultation with Mae and Chase was a pleasant experience. They were friendly, patient and very helpful. They answered all our questions in detail and offered several options so that were able to agree on a price for the quartz countertop we wanted, and stay within our budget.
The only good service I experienced was with ,Mia my job coordinator. However, I would not use this company again! I agreed to pay an additional $500 to have the cabinets leveled, as the person came out to verify measurements had said the countertops were off by 3/8 of an inch, a lot in the world of carpentry. The installers, different from the guy who verified measurements, used two small pieces. of an 8 inch shim over three different sections of counter tops, totaled over 20 linear feet. So the counters in two small sections were off by !/8 inch, not 8 inch as intially told. This took the guy less than 10 minutes to do using some chalking and small shims. I called and spoke with Mia and relayed that to her and asked if this $500 leveling fee could be refunded back to me. She said she would ask to see if possible. Long story short, no, nothing not even a partial refund, which stinks. Had they had to do major leveling, I get it. This was a total rip off and upscale, same as undercoating when buying a new car at the dealership... So bad business practices and I can only imagine what might happen if you experience a problem after install. So This product and installers was through Home Depot. I will also let HD regional management know. My suggestion is make sure you do not use ASW! Their management sucks!
ASW is professional and efficient. My designer Nae was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke Spanish.
ASW is the best value for the best countertops. My designer Nae was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend ASW & Nae, highest level of fabrication.
Poor communication. Price increases were never communicated, invoices never revised/changed until final payment due, plus cost of all additions. When they come in and say "We can do this job for $X" then create plans, have payments done in installations as those plans are fulfilled, it should not come to the final payment and work is complete where ASW says Oh by the way, we need an additional payment because the plans differed from the quote. This cost variation needs to be communicated when ASW becomes aware of it, not at the end when you are obligated to pay. I think they intentionally low-ball the quote. Also, one of the big selling points that made us select ASW was the claim the work could be done in a single day, which it was not. Their price was competitive (WAS, before the additions) but they claimed it was a single day project. For our family the kitchen is a busy part of the house, so having the work done in a single day was worth something to us. But, sadly, when it came time to do the work and they already had 80% of the money this changed, it was not attempted or scheduled as a single day project as promised. Sloppy off site fabrications. Multiple end joints have uneven joints, tool cut marks present on edge, slab joint viable clearly at 6 feet away. BAD WORK
Due to an unexpected emergency I am postponing this project indefinitely. I will contact ASI when I am ready to continue.
Good!
Easy to work with, came on time, finished quickly
I had a really good experience from start to finish. They are very professional and were happy to answers any questions I had all during the experience. they also allowed me to visit their shop and gave me a short tour to help me feel more comfortable with them. I really appreciated that.
