We had a broken electrical outlet which we replaced ourselves. The news outlet did not work. We called Oak Electric. We spoke to someone at Oak Electric and they provided us a price for the work to repair an outlet. A technician came in and corrected the connections. We asked the tech how much the bill was. He told us to call the office and someone there would tell us what we owed. We did that and were told a total twice the price of the quote. The bill did not specifically break down costs. We did not know how much money was for the service call, the rate for travel, or the labor. We did pay them. We will never use them again.

Tried to charge me double what estimate was. Charged me for an *apprentice* which he is not authorized by the electrical contractors to even offer. (I checked with NECA). Is this guy even a licensed contractor?

I've used Oak Electric 20 years they have done all of our electrical work. Its a great home but an old one and there have been many projects over the years., They've done different kinds of projects from installing a light switch to more complex projects. Everyone on the team communicates well, are well trained and very good relating to with people. I've recommended to others and they all are happy with the work.
